Solaris has everything needed to get our 91 year old mom to rehabilitate after a fall. After two weeks she is close to going back home!

When my husband needed a Skilled Nursing Facility, I checked out Solaris Healthcare Center in Apopka and was extremely delighted to see the reviews. Then when I had my husband go there for rehabilitation and wound care, as well as other issues, I found this Center to be the BEST. The nurses, administration, wound care specialist and the doctors are top notch. The physical therapy that he received helped him to get back to where he was before he entered this place. The care that all of the people who worked with him was exceptional. I was so pleased with everyone who made us feel so welcome when I visited and worked with my husband extreme needs. I would feel that I would leave a name out if I tried to name everyone who cared for my husband. But they know who they are and have given them compliments every time I come. The patience and care that they give as well as the professionalism is outstanding. They always made me feel that they had everything under control and were way ahead of me when I asked for something. I have told so many people that if their family needs a great healthcare center, to definitely go to Solaris in Apopka. Thank you so much all of you at Solaris in Apopka for being there for us at our time of need.

Through the years I have had a dozen family members become elderly and reach a stage where they needed extended care. I have known friends who have experienced the same thing. All of us had the same problems encountered when you needed to find a facility to care for your elderly loved one. We could never find a facility which truly gave 100% all the time to tend to their needs.<br><br>Personally I have experienced over a dozen facilities during my life. VA, non-VA and private care. None of them met to my standards. There was always something wrong be it procedure, policy or employees. Solaris falls in between the good and the bad. They aren't the worst and they aren't the best.<br><br>Some of the good things are - clean, friendly staff, in-house therapy, home like feel and location. Some of the bad things are - inconsistent care, lack of preventive care and attention to detail.<br><br>My favorites of Solaris are the cheerful staff and the clean facility. It has a home like feel to it. Of the dislikes, it seems to fall on the late night staff. I've been told there is one person for up to twenty patients. In the mornings I have found our loved one with soiled diapers, which it was obvious they had been like that for a considerable amount of time.<br><br>Solaris isn't deserving of a five star rating, there is room for improvement. Paying $10,000+ a month for care I'd expect more, but from what I've seen they aren't a one star rated facility either.

The facility is very clean, the staff are exceptional. Very friendly atmosphere and the residents seem very happy. It is a very nice place.

Being in a Rehab can never be easy for any patient but I felt my friend received exemplary care while he was in Solaris. Everyone from the receptionist, Carmen, to the OT and PT staff, Antonio, Giovanni, Nicole and James showed professionalism, compassion and genuine concern for my friend's well being. I wish all the staff at Solaris an abundance of peace and blessings for putting the humanity back in a profession that seems to have lost that quality long time ago.

Solaris has been the biggest blessing when it comes to caring for my grandmother the entire staff has shown immense compassion and diligence to her treatment I want to single out her speech therapist Bailey Harrison she has gone above and beyond to not only keep her motivated with her therapy but to also check in on her and to keep her from feeling lonely when your loved ones are in distress it carries through the entire family but Solaris has helped us feel like we aren’t alone and that we can get through this difficult time.

My mom has been here since May and the staff has been the most polite, helpful and supportive people I have ever met. I love the feeling of home and support that they provide to their patients. They truly treat them with respect and like family. My sincerest gratitude goes to the the nurses, PT staff, and the CNAs of the Orchid wing! I love you guys!
