SolarPod

Reluctant to get solar because of roof penetrations. Loved the idea of SolarPod Crown. My roof now generates as much power as I use, including 12k mi/yr in my EV. Update 6 years in: Squirrel damage to cables & microinverters shut down 5 panels. Repaired after 4 month wait for replacement microinverters. Old microinverters appear to have lost about 14% output compared to new.

Great experience working with these folks; I chose them after having a family member do a self-install of panels with SolarPod. While self-install was not an option for our home, SolarPod was terrific to work with throughout the process.

SolarPod was a great company to work with! They took care of all the paperwork and got the Eagan Minnesota building approval process done quickly. I used their Z-Rack system so I have zero holes in my roof and no heavy concrete to weigh it down. I used their 5.92kw system in 2021, upfront cost on their Z-Plan PPA was $8880 and only $275 a year for 7 years after. I plan to purchase the remaining part after the 7 years. Total amount was $17,918 and I got a nearly 35% savings without the in full large purchase price upfront. Savings on energy bills has been wonderful! Thank you so much!

After getting multiple bids, we chose SolarPod because of their innovative "no holes drilled" technology, their personal local service, high quality panels, and affordable price. They worked with us every step of the way and completed the project ahead of schedule in time to catch the Summer Solstice Sun! We couldn't be more pleased with SolarPods technology, design, service, installation, and finished project! September Update: Our first summer electric bills came to $0 plus receiving rebate checks from our electric co-op.

We had Mouli’s team install a system on our roof that went operational December 2020. I checked references and had very favorable feedback. The process leading up to the installation was straightforward and Mouli assisted along the way. He is not only the designer but also the general on the project. Once the power company signed off on their part the installation took two days plus time for final inspection. Since the system was installed we have had zero issues with the system. Our electric bill is almost nothing. We are considering swapping out some older utilities to electric from natural gas and if we do that will engage Solarpod to install additional panels to cover their consumption. All in all we have been very pleased with the rack system, panels, inverter and the software.

Just completed 14kWp system from SolarPod. In one word, SolarPod was AMAZING. We shopped around before we decided to go with SolarPod, they were fastest to get me the quote, always engaged, listened to our needs and came with best price. Mouli was hands-on through out the project, he took it from analysis to delivery personally and took care of all the fine details for us. Construction was fast and clean. System works as it was promised. I cannot praise SolarPod high enough. If you are looking to go solar power, give them a call.

Repeat Customer 8 years ago I installed one of the first Solar Pod Crown systems. Recently I bought an electric car and needed more capacity. The new Z-Rack system has made a number of improvements that make it easier to install. With all the improvements in the Solar Industry over the last 8 years you certainly get lot more for your $ and the price of electricity has gone up significantly. Mouli at SolarPod was very helpful in getting the building permit, shipping materials promptly, and answering any questions I had. I was able to do this install 95% by myself, just needed a neighbor to give me a hand for 2 hours to install the panels on the Z-Rack frame.

SolarPod's patented no roof penetrations racking was key for my existing steel roof. No holes meant no worries for future roof leaks. The system is producing good numbers and satisfied on my purchase

My system has finished installation and began generating power about a week ago, and I love it already. Mouli and team have been very professional throughout the entire process, from initial research, to quoting, working with Xcel’s approval process, and installation. Mouli very thoroughly and promptly answered each of my many questions along the way. I tried to get a quote from a different local solar company in 2018 but they wouldn’t give me a quote due to shade from trees on my roof. Mouli was supportive in offering suggestions regarding this and my system has been producing power even with some shade from the trees. He drew up a cost-production model and showed a payback period of ~10-11 years, whereas they produce power and are warranted for 25 years (and should provide all of my family’s electricity needs). One thing that interested me in SolarPod was their system uses no roof penetrations; this was especially attractive as I just had my roof replaced. I thoroughly recommend SolarPod to anyone considering solar and I’ve had several people ask me about my system already, unprompted. [Written 24 Oct 2020]

Mouli was very professional. He gave all the information I needed and completed the project well before schedule. One reason I went with solarpod was no holes on my roof.
