Southern Maryland Driving Academy

Mr Bill was a fantastic teacher and kept us (and yes, I mean us!!) so engaged with everything we were learning.

Mr bill was fantastic

Mr Bill is a great instructor!

Taking it online with Ms. Tracy was great and I can definitely say I learned a lot. I would 100% recommend.

My daughter did the virtual lessons. It was a good learning environment and Ms. Tracy was very nice and made things fun. I would recommend!

Mr Bill is a riot. I've had to take drivers ed twice (long story) and this class was much more memorable and engaging than the one I took before. The only thing for me personally was how severe some of the real footage was and showing the aftermath of what happened to the drivers. There wasn't really a warning for when we would see blood.

Mr Bill is cool

Ms. Tracy made the online class very fun and interesting

The lessons were fun and easy to understand, I loved the nicknames he gave us. We had a lot of laughter and all of us passed the final exam easily. Thanks Mr Bill! – Marcel (August 2026 Class)

Mr. Bill is a cool teacher

Very entertaining class with MR.bill he kept it chill while keeping seriousness of driving

Mr. Bill did an amazing job. The class fun, and made easy. 10/10

Update — August 22, 2026: The owner contacted me after this review and we discussed what happened. In fairness, there was a period after my August 2025 email when I could have followed up more proactively about scheduling. However, I still believe communication and follow-through from the business could have been… Read full review

Extremely Frustrating Experience — More Than a Year and Still No Behind-the-Wheel Training I paid $370 last summer (2025) for my son to complete Driver’s Education with Southern Maryland Driving Academy in Prince Frederick, including both the classroom portion and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. My son… Read full review

Very good school, I had Mr. Bill as my teacher and he was able to pack it full of knowledge while still keeping it highly entertaining! Would highly recommend!

Mr bill is insane in a good way he’s very funny and never stops telling stories and telling jokes, I truly don’t know how to describe this experience unless you’ve been in his class. Anyways 10/10

I had a virtual class with Mrs. Tracy and overall I really enjoyed the experience. She created a positive and fun learning environment, and I appreciated her enthusiasm. One suggestion I have would be to keep lessons a bit more focused, as class sometimes ran longer than expected because of stories or conversations… Read full review

It was a good class with a good teacher but the information could have been presented a little more interestingly

Great class and teachers. The online class wasn't boring and the teacher kept us engaged and having fun. We all learned some more skills and had a great time.

Virtual class was very effective and wasn’t complicated nor had any issues!

Paid a low price AND also got an amazing teacher (Ms.Tracey) with her sidekicks Rein and Diesel. I thought drivers Ed would be a dreadful experience due to two weeks of having to spend hours in a class I basically already knew about, but no, I met a few people and the chat got WILD regarding the materials.… Read full review

I had a wonderful experience, Mr. Bill is a riot in the best way possible! He made his classes fun and engaging, and I really looked forward to coming to the class. Uncle Bill is the best teacher 🤍🎱

I took the online class and had Mrs. T as my teacher. I learned so much about how to drive and much more about life in general. I wanna thank Mrs. T and Southern Maryland Driving Academy for the great instruction I received!

Southern Maryland Driving Academy is a great program to go through if you are preparing for a learners permit or drivers license! The online program is amazing. I recommend Ms.Tracy. She is a great teacher who makes each class exciting and fun through personal experience, playful jokes, and interesting conversations revolving around the driving world.

Mr Bill gotta be like a 6’3 bodybuilder

I took a virtual course with Ms. Tracy, she was very helpful and attentive to our needs.

Great class experience and a great way to get your license

Leaving 5 stars because I can't leave 100. Mr. Bill is a VERY energetic teacher who seems to genuinely care about giving his students up-to-date and honest information about driving laws and safety. Will let you get Panda Express during the 15-20 minute break every class- if you can run fast enough. Overall 10/10 experience👍

I had Mr Bill for my class. he is very professional and funny. he definitely made the class enjoyable and fun. i learned a lot from him. very great teacher.

Mr Bill’s classes were engaging and relatable, I loved him telling us his life stories. He might be 10 ten human beings.

Mr. Bill is a crazy cool guy. His teaching is quite interactive and helped me a lot in comprehending the information. Worlds #1 driving instructor.

Funniest class ever, love Mr. Bill, reminded me of Bill Murray

A little boring but very essential for driving and vehicle knowledge. Would definitely recommend Mr.Bill to anyone looking for driving classes. Mr.Bill is very interesting and amazes me everyday that I walk into class. Wonderful content and setup.

Mr bill is an amazing teacher who knows how to keep people entertained and interested. With the money and would definitely come back if I had a choice

Mr bill is the best. He explains things very well

Mr.bill is the man he makes the class very fun and interesting give my boy a raise .

I was honestly so nervous about taking the class. Especially since I took the class virtual. But Mrs.Tracy made the class fun and easy. She easy going and laid back. If you have any questions she makes it so easy for you to come to her. Seriously take the calls. You won't regret it!!

I was in online classes with Miss Tracy. She was super nice and patient. I expected the class to be super boring but we made it through and the two weeks only felt like 3 days. Would definitely recommend Miss Tracy to anyone who's looking to put their kid in drivers ed and cant do in person classes.

Vinnies the best!! :)

At first I thought this class will be the thing that I would go to begrudgingly. That wasn’t the case at all. Mr. Bill’s stories and chosen videos made the class pretty entertaining- and he even allowed us to eat and have drinks during class!

Was a great class and I learned alot .
