This is truly the pinnacle of wedding venues. Anyone getting married in New Orleans much check out this venue and should strongly consider utilizing it for their wedding.
First off the grounds are beautiful! The photographs we got are immaculate and they lights bring out the sparkle of the evening.
The staff is amazing! They are all SO responsive to questions and made the wedding planning easy! They provide SO much that you could easily plan your wedding without a planner (as we did) without a ton of hassle or stress! They took the worry and concern of coordination out of the picture and I knew exactly what was happening at each step. They were extremely accommodating to all of our needs!
The food and drink is world-class! You do NOT need a caterer and for good reason: their food could be Michelin-starred if they wanted to! Not only is the food seemingly endless, but they offer you a 20-minute reprieve to sit and enjoy each other's company and eat ALL the food. It's outstanding! I was never without a drink in my hand as the coordinators worked to ensure that not only was I taken care of, but my wife and BOTH of our parents as well!
World class, cannot recommend enough!!!
We had the most beautiful wedding this weekend for my daughter. The entire planning process was so easy. And the wedding? Oh my gosh, it was amazing! We loved every second of it and felt like treasured family the entire evening. Every single staff person was exceptional. Our guests raved about how well we were all treated. The food was fabulous. The quality and variety was superb. Thank you to Stacy for everything, and an extra special thank you to Mr. Bobby for throwing in the fireworks. Aside from being beautiful, they perfectly complemented our daughter's sparkly personality. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This place is beautiful! I felt so comfortable there. Attended a wedding there on Friday October 2nd and it was perfect. The reception, the food and the staff were awesome. Every time I turned around someone was offering me something to eat and I ate everything lol....at the end of the night one of the waiters got on the dance floor!!!! It made my night he was all into the music
Also there was a gentleman walking around making sure everything was ok. I'm assuming it was the manager, never got the chance to tell how much I enjoyed myself.

If you're considering Southern Oaks as your venue, do yourself a favor and BOOK IT NOW - you won't regret it. My husband and I got married there on October 16, 2016 and it was truly amazing. Both the staff and Bobby (the owner) are absolutely wonderful. Bobby even threw in a few surprises for us which made our night even more special and fun. Our guests can't stop talking about how wonderful the service and food was; Southern Oaks really has it down to a perfect science. It also doesn't hurt that the venue is gorgeous and beautifully kept! We cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you Southern Oaks for making our wedding day so incredible, it was an experience we will never forget.

Wonderful wedding reception venue! Great, welcoming staff! The manor was able to accommodate everyone comfortably, and they helped with ever aspect of the event. The food was some of the best I’ve had (try the sliders) and Maxwell made sure we had everything thing we needed. Scenic, historical, and everyone felt pampered. If you are having a wedding or reception here in the NOLA area, THIS is your place!!’
