Beau and Aleesha have been so helpful with our sweet Doberman, Newt. When we adopted her a few months ago she was very shy and undersocialized. They've provided expert guidance to help us work on basic training and becoming more comfortable with new people and dogs. Their outdoor classes and 1:1 training sessions are easy attend and have helped Newt tremendously. Sometimes I think Newt likes Beau and Aleesha more than us because they treat her so well 😂 We couldn't be more grateful to have top notch trainers in GP!

Beau and his family know what they're doing. Truly, it's great working with them! Pricing is fair, products are great and priced fairly, and most of all there is so much knowledge and passion. Our pup went from being so overstimulating and bad manored to being relaxed and he actually feels like a member of our family again. Truly I could go on, but please understand they're wonderful to work with and they know that they're doing. The trainers at Southern Oregon Dog Training are professional, knowledgeable, and great at communicating. My Leonberger-Shepherd mix was too rambunctious for me to safely take on walks, but after just one training session with Bo, I felt confident using the skills I learned to make walks safe and enjoyable for both of us. I also received helpful guidelines for building a stronger relationship with my dog and teaching obedience skills. I highly recommend Southern Oregon Dog Training for anyone with a new puppy or energetic dog.

My family had an excellent experience training our pup Rocco with Beau. His energy is calm reassuring, and gentle. He really understands dogs. I was not looking for a strict or militant training style and were worried and concerned that we may end up with a trainer with this kind of style that would try talking us into being more harsh than we wanted to be. Thankfully Beau was perfect... He is intuitive with animals and gets on their level, he can see where they are mentally and what they need to succeed. He was very patient with us, and kept the process simple. Nothing was stressful or overly complicated. Our life is so much better now that we have a boy we can enjoy activities with instead of feeling trapped at home with a wild and crazy Dog.

I am a first time dog parent, so don’t have a lot of experience, but I can say without a doubt that the care, thoughtfulness, and valuable training we have received is above and beyond my expectations at Southern Oregon Dog Training. My puppy is completely at ease and learning with every training session. I have always been treated well and not made to feel inadequate for my lack of knowledge about dog training. There is nothing more comforting than knowing that my four-legged family member is loved and safe while also having valuable training lessons that I can continue at home. Couldn’t ask for better care or results!

Quality information for new dog owners. Ask questions about your dogs, what to do next as they grow and get to know you. Also available, higher quality treats for training and food brands that keep the dogs healthy. I have had good experiences here over the past couple of years.

Highly recommend everyone at Southern Oregon Dog Training. My dog was having some behavioral issues stemming from an injury, and I also needed boarding. Was able to work out times that worked well for everyone. From the first time I took him there to meet Beau, I could tell my dog, Larry, was in very good hands. It was the longest I'd been apart from Larry since adopting him and they provided excellent care and training. They sent daily updates where he was clearly having a blast. Since he's been back we've been continuing the training and Larry is showing excellent progress. Thanks to Beau and everyone at SODT, my relationship with Larry is just getting better and better.
