SpaceStars Deck Builders

SpaceStars advertises superior construction and service at an elevated price point. They only deliver on the exorbitant price; the construction is substandard and the service is completely nonexistent. During the 14 months it took for them to build and then repair my new deck and patio, I experienced the following: * Lies regarding when permits had been submitted and approved * Zero communication regarding status updates or timelines * Repeated demands for payment for “substantial completion” before work even began * Large gaps between support beams and misaligned joints * Stairs built several inches too short and the patio sloped to meet them to hide the mistake * Stonewalling regarding fixing their mistakes * Wet concrete dumped in the grass * Marred bricks used for the retention wall If you make the mistake of hiring SpaceStars, you will need to retain an attorney before they will agree to rectify their poor construction. You will need to perform your own project management. You will need to hound them for any updates or progress. And you will regret it. Update: an executive from SpaceStars has since whined to me repeatedly that I did not make it clear that they finally delivered on the contracted work. They did deliver. Meagerly. After 14 months and the threat of being sued for breach of contract.

Josh, Danny and Luke did a great job on my deck. They communicated well and were on time.

Freddy, Juan and Josh built me a beautiful deck!!!!

We are extremely happy with the composite deck, now we will no longer need to weather treat it. Christian, a one man show, completed the deck in a timely fashion. His supervisor, Mitch, always kept us informed as to the deck's progress and everyone we had to deal with was very polite and professional. Thumbs up to SpaceStars Deck Builders!!!

Had a very nice experience with Steve Mc calden he is very knowledgeable and knows his stuff

Once the actual work started it was smooth as butter. The crew was even willing to work over the labor day weekend.

We had an excellent experience with SpaceStars this past season. They proved themselves to be a company that genuinely stands behind their work. Before starting our project, we did our homework and thoroughly vetted six different decking companies in the area. SpaceStars consistently came out on top, and they managed to exceed our high expectations in every way from the sales pitch through the actual build. Two things truly set them apart: their commitment to customer service and their obsession with quality. They didn't just build a deck and leave; they conducted multiple internal quality inspections throughout the process to ensure everything was up to their rigorous standards. Despite the township already signing off and praising the construction quality. What impressed us most was the team’s integrity. They consistently chose to do what was right for the project, even when facing unexpected challenges that made the work more cumbersome or time-consuming for them. They never cut corners. Special shout out to Joe, Shannon, and Mitch. The actual construction process was incredibly fast, and the crew was an absolute pleasure. They were professional, and respectful. We have already received countless compliments from friends and family. In fact, our neighbors were so impressed by the craftsmanship and how smoothly the project went that they immediately signed Spacestars on to replace their own deck. This new space has significantly elevated our outdoor living area and added immensely to our social and entertainment space. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and highly recommend SpaceStars to anyone wanting a beautiful, structurally perfect deck built by a team you can actually reach and trust to stand by their word.

SPACESTARS DECK BUILDERS is the definition of professionalism and craftmanship. I hired them to rebuild my deck. They were easily accessible, on time, and frequently kept me in the loop about the progress they made and their schedule. The end result was beautiful and better than I could have imagined.
