Looking you up to price things. - well, I will start off by saying you did have a good website setup, but what was frustrating was there is NO PRICING. We need prices on all items that is on your website listing for rentals. Not everyone has the time to make the phone calls or calls on their breaks or lunches due to needing that personal time to truly take a break from work and etc. so knowing information ahead of time, on the website would be helpful and ideal. Hope this helps your business and marketing efforts, skills and knowledge. I shall check back in a couple of weeks as I am working to plan ahead of schedule.

For 40 years we have been focusing on providing the best products and services for our clients to produce 5 star events and realize that we aren’t doing the best job of telling everyone what we can do!
I’d greatly appreciate if you gave us the chance improve your Google rating by working with us for your event where we excel and not based on pricing on our website. Currently to obtain pricing, if you don't have time during working hours for a phone call or in person visit, you can add items to your quote request and our team will send it back to you with the pricing for your event. You can also send us an email or use our chat feature on the website. There are variables like delivery and pickup, setup, takedown and others that can affect pricing so a little human interaction goes a long ways!

My husband and I hosted our wedding at our private residence in Corvallis on August 1, 2026, and Special Occasions provided so many rental items that were vital to the success of our day. The whole Special Occasions team was fantastic to work with!
Our venue is unique in that it's not a traditional wedding venue, it's our home. Our property has a good bit of land with hills and is forested, and we knew we'd have some interesting challenges to navigate with bringing in delivery items. The owner of Special Occasions, Kyle, came out to do a site visit with us back in December to measure parts of our property and make recommendations on how we could make our vision come to life. He was thoughtful in taking notes about how his team would be able to get their delivery trucks out to our venue. It was pouring rain the day that he made the site visit, but he wasn't afraid to walk around the whole property with us to make sure we got the information we needed!
When determining which specific items to reserve, I found Jenny and Debbie in the front office to be incredibly helpful. I must've emailed back and forth with them a million times, and since I'm local, it was great that I could drop by in-person to look at fabric samples and colors. They were always quick to respond to my emails and questions, and they updated our rental invoice countless times as we got closer to the wedding date. Debbie asked me helpful questions as I was adjusting item quantities to make sure I had accounted for every small detail in my planning!
I know summer is such a busy season for weddings in Oregon, and Special Occasions was able to deliver and pick up our rental items with no issues whatsoever, even when they were serving so many other clients. The delivery team was efficient, prompt and hard-working, and they set everything out for us perfectly.
We rented a set of white chairs for our ceremony, then tables/wooden chairs for the reception, tablecloths, napkins, cocktail tables/cloths, dishes and silverware and glassware, a dance floor, beautiful bistro lighting throughout our venue spaces, and a few other smaller items. All the rentals complimented our ethereal forest setting perfectly, as you can see in some of the photos I've attached.
I would highly recommend Special Occasions for any event rental needs that you have! Their team is professional, efficient and helpful and their items are high-quality!

She explained events leading up to this call and how disrespectful this was to a potential client. As a small business owner myself your staff is the first representative of you and your company. At the very least the employee would be educated and written up. This is how you lose clients.

I can not say sorry enough on this one. My family has built this business over the past 40 years on relationships, treating people with respect and professionalism. It appears that we have let ourselves, and in turn you down. I own Special Occasions and when I got back from a job immediately talked to Jenny, our General Manager about this and this has been addressed with the employee mentioned. I will be having a conversation not only with this employee but with our whole company to remind them of our core values, how we act when representing my company, and the professionalism that has allowed us to be in business for 40 years. As a consumer, I can understand why would you choose not to use our services immediately after this interaction. As a business owner and employer, I can tell you this isn't our stand or our normal interaction. Again, my sincerest apologies.

Annie I can't begin to express my disappointment that you and your husband had this interaction with our team. The comments were unprofessional and completely unnecessary. It is insignificant but when you called back I don't think the intention was to hang up on you, it was a botched transfer from that phone to Jenny our GM. From what I gather you spoke to Jenny and she apologized to you directly and repeatedly and offered if there was anything we could do, not to earn your business at this point, just to show you respect and that you were heard and we agree this wasn't appropriate. There has already been several conversations internally to address this and we will be addressing this at our weekly team meeting next week to remind everyone how our actions need to always align with the values that have built this company over the past 40 years. This is not the experience that our team has built the business on and I personally apologize that any representative of my company and my family provided this level of customer service and professionalism. I don't know if there is much more that I can say, except that I am sorry this happed to your husband today and that our team was a part of it.
