Amazing center. We had to scramble to find care for our 2 and 4 year old last year and spectrum really answered our prayers. I toured many places and just knew when we found the downtown location it was an amazing fit. Our 4 year old grew leaps and bounds just that first summer learning including writing and spelling his own name. Cannot recommend them enough and will be so sad when we have to move on.
The location is very convenient for those who work downtown; I’m grateful to be able to visit and feed my son during my break. They were very kind when we needed to flex our start date. Staff is warm and friendly. Nothing but good things to say about our experience!
The teachers and staff at Spectrum Station Downtown have been extremely warm and friendly — and have consistently treated our son as if he were one of their own. He has learned so much and met so many friends during his nearly 3 years at Spectrum. They have daily activities (music, stories, crafts, and indoor/outdoor play), the daily schedule and location have been great, and we often find ourselves asking: Where did he learn that?? At daycare of course! Ms. Tamara in Room M is the best!!
When I was getting prepared to start my daughter in daycare, I wanted a place that I would trust would take care of her. Because we chose to take her to Spectrum Station, the first day of drop off was peaceful. While its okay to get emotional about that first day, I was not even able to cry because I felt excitement for her and trust that we had chosen the right place. The staff is wonderful, caring and considerate. All of the teachers love on my baby girl and I know she has the best time when she is there. I love that I can be at work knowing she is cared for well. My baby is now 6 months old and my review has only gotten better with time and exposure to their awesome team! Thank you, Spectrum Station!!!
We love Spectrum! The teachers and staff are amazing. They do so much for our kids. I’m very grateful to have such a special place for our kids to be while we work. Our kids love going here.
We have had our little boy at Spectrum Downtown since he was 1 (he's 3 now) and we have loved every teacher he's had. The whole staff knows every child and works to build relationships with the parents. They've provided parenting support (e.g., potty training, help setting boundaries, sleep routine) and developmentally appropriate learning. The highlight for our little boy is all the special activities that are scheduled in the Summer and Winter months - think puppet shows, musical artists, storytelling, bounce houses, bubble parties, magicians, and so much more. I cannot recommend Spectrum Station Downtown enough for parents who need an engaging and caring environment for their littles! They have been a critical part of our Village.
I would highly recommend Spectrum Station downtown KC. My toddler was introduced to the class room setting and interaction social skills. They also helped potty train well really they potty trained our little one. Our daughter now 3 is in the class room with other 3 year olds, and is more than ready for preschool. They also do a lot fun activities for the kids and family. Highly highly recommend Thank you Spectrum
Our daughter started at age three and she has loved Spectrum. They offer a variety of extra enrichment classes. Classroom staff have all been kind and have become some of our daughter’s favorite people. She’s now in their P4 Pre-Kinder class, would recommend their preschool program! We love how much she’s grown. Our second started at age one. The classroom teachers are so wonderful in the littles as well. He is a little rascally and Ms Robin and Jasmine embraced and guided him with care.
I can't say enough good things about the Spectrum Station Downtown Center. My child went there from birth for almost 2 years (we made the tough decision to leave after moving). Communication with parents is excellent. Daily, we received thorough information regarding diapering, napping, activities and the type and amount of food consumed. The organization hosts donation-based events throughout the year and take home family dinners regularly so families don't have to cook. The staff at Spectrum Station is truly amazing (teachers, floaters and management). My child was always greeted by name during our comings and goings by multiple staff members, was happy at drop-off and pick-up; and learned so much during their time there. Michelle (director) was always friendly, professional and helpful. Simone (asst director) was a blessing when we introduced solids. Miss Anna, Miss Brenda, Miss Robin and Miss Jasmine (our teachers) treated my child with love and care, and will forever hold a special place in my heart. So grateful to have experienced this daycare, miss it and highly recommend.
Our 1 yr old son has been receiving full time care here since April 2023. He absolutely loves his teachers, Miss Robin & Miss Janelle, and the principal Michelle, and the friends he has made in his class. The communication we receive from teachers and staff is outstanding. His class plays outside and does appropriate learning/enrichment activities every day and he has learned so many words and has even developed an appreciation for art.
