We transferred from chkd with Ms. Elizabeth did and we have no regrets following Ms. Liz and supporting her and her new business. Speech at the beach is a small business and it makes speech a lot more intimate and personal and I really enjoy that. Ms. Liz is so funky, so kind, funny, professional, educated, and is great at identifying problems and targeting focus areas of intervention treatment. Ms. Liz truly has a wonderful spirit about her and it helped my son attach to her very quickly!
Updated October 23rd, 2026: my son was discharged today because his "attendance was low," and maybe it was, however, Speech at the Beach doesn't care about what family crisises you're going through, or sickness, or family emergencies. There's no such thing as "excused" absences despite having documentation for every missed appointment despite maybe 2 no shows. It's really a disservice to children who need assistance. We will deeply miss Ms. Lizzy & Ms. Tracy. People go through really hard things and sometimes people including our children are down right exhausted from being sick with strep throat.
I really think that my son being discharged is going to be a great thing for him because now he has other options for care that align more with his new path in life!
Game changer. Was ready to give up on speech for my daughter after years of therapy with no real improvement. Speech at the Beach was the first place that gave us hope and was able to break through to our daughter.
Extremely Disappointing Experience — Please Do Your Research I would give no star!
Unfortunately, our experience with this provider has been extremely disappointing, especially the owner Ashley and I would strongly encourage parents to carefully research their options before choosing this service for their child.
When we initially started with Hanna, we had a positive experience. However, after she left, our experience changed significantly. We were left waiting for months while my son was without speech therapy. During this time, it appeared that new clients were still being accepted while existing clients were left waiting for services. As a parent, having your child go without necessary therapy for months is incredibly frustrating and concerning.
There was also an incident involving my son being placed on a machine without my prior knowledge or consent. I was extremely uncomfortable with this and felt that I should have been informed and given the opportunity to approve or decline the intervention beforehand. When it comes to my child, I expect clear communication, informed consent, and transparency regarding anything being done as part of his care.
I also have serious concerns about the use of children's images and videos for marketing or social media. Parents should be able to feel confident that their child's privacy is being respected and that appropriate authorization has been obtained before their child's image or information is shared publicly.
Our final issue involved insurance. We changed insurance providers and provided confirmation of the new insurance while we were waiting for the physical insurance card. Despite providing proof of coverage, my son's speech therapy was canceled and we were told that services would need to be self-pay. We were then contacted regarding an alleged missed appointment, which added even more frustration to an already difficult situation.
Overall, I felt that communication, transparency, and continuity of care were seriously lacking. As a parent, my priority is finding a provider who genuinely puts the child's needs first and treats families with respect and professionalism.
I strongly recommend that parents do their research, ask detailed questions about consent, privacy, insurance, continuity of care, and how their child's information and images are used before committing to services. We ultimately decided tto go with CHKD where you have top notch Speech therapist without the drama!
Our experiences been nothing short of amazing and progressive each visit. Speech therapy isn’t easy but with a team like this we’ve seen great results . We’ve seen Ellie since day 1–each week we see an obvious difference plus the kids love her voice and mannerisms with them. Ms. Tracy is they best she will get you scheduled quickly & very accommodating. We thank the entire speech at the beach team for improving my child’s speech journey we are beyond grateful :)

Thank you for sharing, Amina! We have the best jobs in the world❤️💕🫶
My daughter has been receiving speech therapy from Ms. Lanni and we've noticed improvement in her willingness to make sounds. She's made huge leaps in using her Aug. Comm. Device with Touch Chat. Ms. Lanni is so kind and patient with my daughter and is always willing to adapt activities to keep her engaged. Speech at the Beach staff are all friendly, energetic, and experienced.

Thank you for the kind words! It is such a pleasure ❤️
We have been seeing Ms Liz and Ms Lily for about 8 months now and my son is doing so well. We have really seen so much growth in a small time, and he loves going there too. Implementing what they do and tell you consistently is key! Highly recommend.
We have been working with Lily for a few months now and she is absolutely incredible! We live on Virginia's Eastern Shore and all of our appointments have been done through telehealth. We were skeptical at first with telehealth appointments but Lily has been able to navigate through that barrier to reach our daughter on a level to where she still learns and is eager for her session every time. The sessions are not only educational but personal and the communication is outstanding. We are grateful and blessed to have crossed paths with Speech at the Beach and Lily.

We are SO lucky to have Lily on our team- thank you for taking the time to leave a review, it means the world!
We had a great experience with Lily for my 4 year old son who was struggling with picky eating. Lily was so positive and came up with different activities each week that were individualized to my kiddo. She even recognized that he had some mild difficulties pronouncing his “L’s” and was able to integrate training for that into our sessions. He now is much more open to eating new foods, loves corn and carrots, and we have strategies to continue to work on new foods moving forward. Grateful to Lily and the team at Speech At The Beach for their hard work to make eating easier for us as a family!
