Elizabeth has done a couple of projects for us over the years, including this year. They have stood the test of time. She listened to our ideas, concerns and came up with good designs that worked for us and our yard. The couple of minor issues that we faced, she handled well. Most recently the services included design, plants, mulch and stone landscaping plus drain repair. One area that I would have appreciated a bit more up-front discussion was on the state of our irrigation system. Her services are not cheap but fair. We would not hesitate to recommend Splendid Gardens and will call them back for future services.

I had an outstanding experience working with Kate and the team at Splendid Gardens. Kate is an incredible project manager and truly an expert in all things landscaping and outdoor plants. Her knowledge is impressive, and she is incredibly patient when explaining options, answering questions, and helping me understand what would work best for my space. What impressed me most was her communication and attention to detail. Kate stayed on top of every aspect of the project, stopped by multiple times to check on the progress, and always made sure I knew exactly what was happening. She is professional, responsive, organized, and genuinely cares about the quality of the finished project. What a JOY! I'm not even sure where to begin. My yard had been decimated by soil erosion (lost about 6 inches over a 10-year period), neighboring tree roots, moles, growing trees in and around that had created a ton more shade, overrun by weeds and then overtreated with pre-emergent until it was just this side of a deserted lot that filled the sidewalk every time the sprinklers went off trying to save what was left in my flower beds. (And ultimately a rightly-served uh-oh from the HOA.) I was connected to Splendid Gardens through a local realtor friend (@Heather Schmidt) and from my first time meeting with Splendid Gardens it was ON. Owner Elizabeth was a delight and a professional to work with. She took time to listen to my concerns, what I had tried over the last several years and what I did and didn't like, and what I did and didn't want. I knew this wasn't going to be done cheaply - either literally or figuratively. I had invested what I thought was a decent amount 10 years prior in putting a pool in some backyard hardscaping and landscaping around it, but didn't think about investing same in the rest of the backyard, much less the front yard. And I had been spending a LOT of money every year on patchwork approaches to replacing dirt (cheap, then expensive), grass seed, grass plugs, etc. Spurge, sedge and carpetgrass - those I could grow!! Nothing else took season to season and then year to year. Organic and expensive, big box but still expensive, bigger box and cheaper. And then there was the NotSoGreat slab leak of 2024 that then created some other adventures. As well, the fence needed replacing (which happened first, thanks to @Texas Best Fence & Garden), and the moles needed to be dealt with (thanks to @Gopher Genius). What Splendid Gardens did - well, the results are beyond beautiful. The images Elizabeth initially shared with me for her proposal were terrific - but they paled greatly in comparison to the real deal. The textures, the subtle drama, the sheer beauty!!! I have so many new oases in my front and back yards - and they were a joy to share this weekend over the Fourth of July. It's all that I had hoped for and didn't know enough that I could prompt A-I properly enough to get there. But Elizabeth got it. In addition to the beautiful work, they also cleaned up after themselves every single day, and then even power washed my (now old by comparison) patio when they were finished. Elizabeth re-arranged all my patio furniture, giving me all these new lovely seating areas I now have, with a spectacular view from anywhere I sit. They re-programmed the Rachio sprinkler system for me, left me with detailed instructions of what needs to be done when for my lawn and treatment services to be resumed, etc. And are basically on-call for spot treatment issues if I see anything that does not look right. It's all these "little" extras that are so extra meaningful - I work - a lot. I wasn't home during any of their work hours, so it was just an occasional text if they needed me for anything. Knowing that there is this level of customer support post-installation is just as important as the beauty and usefulness and purposefulness of the installation itself. (PS - the first two pix are just examples of the very sad state of affairs in the BEFORE.) PPS - there was a teen-einsy part of my side yard that I didn't have Splendid Gardens touch in the front or back. Mostly because there wasn't much that could be done with/on it. Or so I thought... But I'm now kind of regretting I didn't finish the job...

Elizabeth and team did a wonderful job with our landscaping. We wanted some front of the house improvements before a party. She accommodated the schedule and worked with us on value engineering the design to fit our budget. I think the true test is when you like what Splendid did even more 9 months after they completed the job. The type of plantings were perfect for the sunlight level and they have filled in beautifully. I highly recommend Splendid for your landscaping needs.
