A terrible experience from the moment I walked in until the moment I left.
The staff was rude, unprofessional, and completely lacking in compassion. The vet tech was particularly unwelcoming and dismissive. To be fair, the veterinarian herself was pleasant, but even she failed to return to the room after my cat was taken for “further testing.” Communication was practically nonexistent, and the overall experience left me feeling like my concerns and my cat’s well-being were nothing more than an inconvenience.
The entire operation gave me the impression of a money-driven business with very little emphasis on patient care, empathy, or professionalism.
And a special mention to the vet tech who practically tossed an at-home urinary testing kit at me while I was visibly upset and struggling to hold back tears. When I asked how to use it, I was met with a condescending look that made me feel stupid for asking a perfectly reasonable question. If you work in veterinary care, basic compassion and the ability to explain things to a distressed pet owner should be the bare minimum, not an unreasonable expectation.
People bring their animals to veterinary clinics because they care deeply about them and often arrive scared, worried, and emotionally vulnerable. Treating them with impatience and condescension is unacceptable.
I would NEVER return to this clinic, and I would strongly encourage other pet owners to think twice before trusting them with their animals. Veterinary care should be built on compassion, communication, and trust. This place left me questioning whether any of those things matter to them.

Brought my cat in for a dental cleaning, x rays, and tooth extraction as he'd been showing signs of pain in his mouth for a bit. Everyone involved was so kind, professional, and they did a wonderful job all with exceptional communication throughout the process. The price was reasonable as well, all that for under half what another vet had quoted for just a cleaning. In an age where it feels like every business is squeezing maximum profit and minimal effort this place really stood out to me. I'd give it and the other location i did thr initial visit with six stars if I could!

This is the best veterinary experience I have ever had. Fifi is always terrified of the vet, but not this time. From the moment we walked in, we were very pleasantly greeted, immediately taken to a waiting room, and the nurse was in within minutes. Fifi was so at ease with the nurse that she even rolled over to show her belly, when she is usually hiding under my chair shaking profusely. She cried at the door when the nurse walked out and stared at her through the window waiting for her return.
Then Dr. Stein came in. Fifi was sitting on his lap and licking him within a minute. He was attentive, understanding, INSANELY knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. He’s by far the best veterinarian I have ever encountered, and I have had many rescue dogs and worked in the rescue industry for several years. This man lives for what he does, and this is literally his life calling to help animals.
I walked out with fifi and she acted like we were leaving the dog park. She didn’t want to leave!
This entire team is incredible, and I have never felt so at ease at a vet’s office ever. And neither has fifi, who has a lot of fear and trauma from her pre-rescue days.
Thank you to the entire staff at Sploot for taking such amazing care of fifi. Here is a photo of her currently basking in the sun. I think she’s feeling better 🙂
