The staff are friendly and attentive. I had bunion surgery almost 2 months ago and it is going well with no complications so far. First visit was a consultation and all my questions were answered. I had the surgery about 3 weeks after. 3 days after surgery i had some bad ankle pain from the boot and called the emergency on call dr and he answered the phone immediately and helped me to resolve the issue (boot was just a little too tight) which he talked me through adjusting it). I like that you can call the office and speak to an actual person and/or dr if needed. The building is also clean and well kept. Easy to set and reschedule appointments.
Dr Colon was great.
The billing department is incompetent, rude, and unprofessional.
I have had issues with a bill for a year and have been back and forth with insurance and SMOC billing.
The last call I had was months ago with my insurance and SMOC on the same line. The bill was removed from my account and now, over a year since my surgery I receive a letter from a debt collector and the same bill is back on my account. No communication whatsoever.
I will never use SMOC again and would caution anyone else from using them.
I would like to say I feel like I was not heard. I felt like the appointment was rushed. I had asked for my worker comp paperwork to be filled out mind you I live in Hampton so I asked can it be filled out the lady said I had to come back ma'am I don't drive as I expressed to her. I don't have money to get there and back just for a piece of paper. I literally cannot work. I'm definitely filing a complaint cause her response was you still have to come back like wrf I'm in a world of pain.
Wow, so there’s no way to simply reach someone at the front desk and has an AI answering service? Even if you’re able to leave a message after 1,000 prompts, no one calls you back.
I saw Dr. Goss and I really liked him a lot . He was kind and caring and very sympathic to my needs . In fact all of the staff working there were warm and friendly. I would highly recommend going there if you were seeking Orthopeadic treatment ! 🙂
I like doctor Mitchell because he listens to you as a patient. And he puts a plan together to find out what is going on with you. Then he comes up with a plan. To help fix the problem.

Dr. Bevalaqua is very knowledgeable, patient, thorough, kind, and is a highly skilled surgeon. He listens, takes time to provide information, , and very prompt in keeping to appointment times. You can’t ask for anymore of your healthcare professional.. I had RSR and had a terrific outcome. I highly recommend.
