Standing Room Only was absolutely one of the highlights of our wedding! They brought an incredible 9-piece band that kept the dance floor packed all night long. The energy was amazing, the music was phenomenal, and so many of our guests kept coming up to us throughout the night and afterward to tell us how incredible the band was. They truly made the reception unforgettable and created the kind of atmosphere we had always hoped for on our wedding day. We cannot recommend Standing Room Only enough to anyone looking for an amazing wedding band. They exceeded every expectation and made our night that much more special!
Standing Room Only was everything we hoped for in a wedding band and more! From the moment the dance floor opened, it was packed, and we heard from so many guests about how incredible the band was.
Kara, the owner, really listened to our music taste and helped create a setlist that felt like us: fun, unexpected, and full of songs that got everyone dancing. They played the songs we requested, respected the ones we asked them to skip, and found a mix that guests of all ages loved. Several people specifically told us how much they appreciated that.
One of the most special moments of the night was our first dance. The band learned “Russell Country Line” by 49 Winchester, and their performance was beautiful. We’ll never forget it. They were also willing to learn songs for our processional and recessional, and their version of the Hora was fantastic.
Standing Room Only brought so much energy and heart to our wedding. We couldn’t have imagined a better band for our day!
Standing Room Only Orchestra played for my wedding reception in Des Moines, Iowa and were a complete and total delight. From start to finish, they kept the dance floor filled and were so organized. They are filled with incredible musicians and were all everyone at my wedding could talk about!
As a Wedding Planner, it is extremely refreshing to work with talented professionals who are also kind, compassionate, strategic, flexible and collaborative. Standing Room Only is all those things in more! Kara was incredibly helpful while we planned Sami and Chris' magical wedding day in Lake Geneva. She was prompt in responding to emails, offered great customer service to the couple leading up to the big day and was an exceptional leader and teammate during the wedding itself. Plus, the band sounded amazing! The dance floor was packed all night largely because of their energy and talents! I would absolutely recommend SRO and I'm eager to work with them again, hopefully soon!
Our daughter was married at Whistling Straits and SRO was absolutely amazing! Kara was a fabulous emcee and kept the evening on track and energized from beginning to end. The musicians were incredible and the dancing was nonstop! We had the full band and the saxophonist added an element of fun for everyone. Kara was able to get us a DJ when the after party plans changed and we were very appreciative of her responsiveness. We would highly recommend SRO!
The most electric band I've ever seen at a wedding. The dance floor was filled the entire night. People were blown away by how good they were and how well they lead the night. Could not recommend more.

We had such an amazing experience with SRO. They kept everyone on the dance floor all night long, and that was the goal. They were very professional & they knew exactly how to exceed expectations. I highly recommend for your wedding. Best night of our lives
We had a wedding planner for our wedding, who sent us a number of band options we weren’t thrilled with. Either they were too expensive or too stiff or not our sound. After doing some of my own research, I found SRO and loved their sizzle reels, so we took a chance on them.
We’re so glad we did. Kara and Yoni were responsive and professional from day one. We had an Orthodox Jewish wedding, and Yoni helped us orchestrate a special set list that worked for us. Kara helped us put together beautiful arrangements for our cocktail hour and ceremony.
On wedding day, they were the MVPs of the party. We had duo instrumentalists at the cocktail hour, a piano and violin at the ceremony, and a 10-piece band for the reception. The sound was crisp and filled the room. Everyone asked, “where did you find this band? They’re amazing.”
I would absolutely recommend SRO to anyone planning a wedding in the Chicago area. 10/10
