I’m extremely disappointed with Stellar Solar and the lack of support I’ve received regarding the warranty on my solar system. Stellar Solar installed my system, including approximately 50 SunPower/Maxeon panels, in 2019. As the professional installer, I reasonably expected them to make sure the system and equipment were properly registered for the manufacturer’s warranty—or, at the very least, clearly notify me that I was personally required to complete a separate registration within a specific time period. That apparently did not happen. The system was not registered in advance by Stellar Solar, and I was not adequately informed or assisted with completing the registration. Years later, when I actually need warranty coverage, I’m being told there is a registration problem and I am now having to fight to get the panels covered. This is incredibly frustrating. Customers spend tens of thousands of dollars on solar systems in part because of the long-term equipment warranties. An installer should have procedures in place to ensure its customers don’t unknowingly lose warranty protection because of an administrative registration requirement. What has been most disappointing is the lack of meaningful assistance from Stellar Solar in resolving a problem involving a system they sold and installed. I shouldn’t be left fighting this battle on my own years later. If you’re considering Stellar Solar, I strongly recommend getting written confirmation that every component of your system has been properly registered with the manufacturer and obtaining copies of those registrations before considering the installation complete. Until Stellar Solar steps up and helps resolve this warranty issue, I cannot recommend them.

Excellent Experience with Stellar Solar! From the very beginning, Kenny and the team at Stellar Solar were great to work with. Kenny walked us through our options, answered our questions, and never pressured us into making a decision. We got competing quotes from other companies, and Stellar Solar offered the most competitive pricing. Their team was also on top of everything when it came to coordinating with SDG&E and the city, which made the entire process much smoother. The installation crew worked quickly, were professional, and did a great job. Overall, we had a great experience with Stellar Solar. Very good experience start to finish. Appreciated all the offline communication through email/ text rather than playing voicemails. I got all the major updates while waiting on work to get started. During inspection came to find out system had an issue from Tesla. Team work directly with them and gave me a new date. Once the system was replaced, inspection was smooth and system worked fine.

We’ve been very happy customers of Stellar Solar for years, from our original solar panels to their ongoing support. Earlier this year, they proactively contacted us because they noticed we might be eligible for a home battery system rebate. They handled all of the tedious work, navigating the confusing paperwork and submitting everything seamlessly. If not for their help, we never would have been approved for a battery system through SGIP. They truly made the whole process effortless. A huge thanks to Joseph and Robert for a great installation job—especially for taking the extra effort to run the wiring so cleanly through the attic!

I originally chose Stellar Solar because of their amazing reviews and a personal recommendation from a friend who also used Stellar.  My frustrations arose when I was having issues recouping battery rebate funds that I'm counting on receiving to make everything pencil out financially. My project has been complete since August of 2023 and I can't get in touch with the appropriate people to finalize my application. It's very concerning. After investing over $100k into this project for my home, I'd really like to enjoy my new solar and battery system with the $26k in rebates that are available to me. Update: they did finally get everything submitted and approved so I could get my rebate. And amazingly they sized my system perfectly for my usage. 2nd update: my inverter failed and it hasn't even been 2 years.... Not only did it take over a month to get the part in, stellar solar now wants to wait over two weeks to come out and make the repair.

Our experience with Stellar Solar was exactly that, STELLAR!! The representative was thorough during our consultation and helped us design a system that met all of our needs. The install was smooth, on time, and the project was completed on time. I can't recommend this company enough! If you are looking for solar, you need to call Stellar Solar! You won't be sorry!
