I wasn't going to do it but since they don't care neither do I. We have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. 22 minutes late for a vaccination shot and they wouldn't see us because it's the 4th missed appointment. I am unsure of the time frame but over 20 years...hold on to your "office policy" we are going elsewhere. Let me also add how many times we had to take our pets elsewhere to be treated because they couldn't get them in due to staff shortage or vacations. We didn't leave you then. We let another vet take care of the issue and then returned to your practice. I guess what works for you works for you! As I think about it it's best anyway. The last time my dog ended up in the ER for 2 days after being told what I brought in as a sample was normal. It wasn't!

They were able to see my cat on the same day and the experience was pretty smooth as far as vet visits go. There wasn't a long wait time (obviously no one can guarantee this every time) and Dr. Van Kopp and the person helping him, I apologize for not knowing her name, was thorough. The front desk staff were also helpful. Contacting via Email and phone is more reliable than the text option. There is no annoying hold music nor ads because they are using old school phones.

Dr Van Kopp is simply the best. He is patient, caring, and the ultimate professional. Always a great experience! I have been in since the ground floor opening of Stockdale Veterinary Hospital and can recommend it as the primo veterinary care facility, without a doubt; friendly staff, utmost professionalism and knowledgeable veterinarians make them the best choice for our furry friends' best care.

The vet itself is great, no complaints. However some of the ladies who work behind the counter is a much different story. They are impatient, rude and unprofessional. Their are alot of vets in BKFD that do not have receptionists who hate life and its own customers. I highly suggest finding a vet that will appreciate your business instead of treating you as if are lucky just to be in the same room with them.
My dogs thorough out my 30 years in Bakersfield have been in Stockdale Vet care. I am loyal because they take great care of my fur babies.
