Second time to use SGD and the same result. First time was with my son’s house. SGD was the only company to respond with same day service and the experience was 5 star.
This time my garage door decided to come off the track on a Friday night at 10:30 pm. The thing basically exploded. Parts everywhere, bent track, etc.
Requested an appointment for Saturday on the SGD website. Bobby S. arrived on time. He assessed the situation and said it was no big deal. He put a quote together and explained it in detail. Lots of new parts to replace the damaged or worn ones and he had everything we needed on his truck.
A couple of hours later we were good to go.

Amazing service from supreme garage door from A-to-Z Ron was very helpful with our garage very knowledgeable and helped us out with our garage door in DALLAS. I scheduled a service with a with a different company called “Jared’s garages” and SGD came out to my house. When I scheduled my service it was to get a free quote for repair and replacement. Until SGD showed up for the appointment I had no idea that it was not the “company” I had actually called.
I was working with Dustin who was a great sales representative, at about the one hour mark when he gave me the first quote for a repair, I realized that this was going to be out of the price range my family could currently afford. Maybe in the future we could swing getting a full replacement, so it would make sense to get a full replacement quote: to have on hand for the future.
However I was expecting these quotes to be free, that is what I discussed with the company on the phone. It wasn’t until I was at the one hour mark that I was told there was a labor charge of $250. I explained that this was not something I had agreed to and was not disclosed. The first call I made, the person on the phone had stated I was able to get a free quote; Dustin apologized for the confusion and confirmed that if that was what I had been told he would need to honor that. He then went to talk to his manager and finalize a quote for a full door replacement.
When he came back his manager had to speak with me as they would need to charge a labor fee for coming out.
By the time I received two quotes at 9pm(2+hrs) I was fully exhausted from the financial stress of the situation our broken garage door was causing. $250, $700-$1600, $2600 none of these prices work for us, yes you guys offer financing, but that didn’t play out for me either and would have still been uncomfortable to add to our monthly expenses at this time. At 9 pm I was exhausted and mistakenly paid the wrong invoice, I was told that wouldn’t go through and would fall off (it hasn’t, that charge is for $127$). Then I paid $257 to pay the correct invoice, for something that I had expected to be free.
The entire situation has caused stress and ultimately is a bait and switch. If SGD is taking leads from a marketing shell there should be better communication with a customer about expectations around mandatory fees. I would never have met with SGD had I been told it was $250 to get a quote.
