Food is good. And we all know how hard it is to find GF bakeries here. Been buying from her since farmer market days. My first experience when they first opened was already frustrating. Wanted to get breakfast pastries and sit to hang but no restroom was available, had to leave a seek out another establishment, even though I drove all the way from round rock. TODAY, decided to give it another shot after work (I work in a healthcare busy clinic setting, wanted to treat myself bc I had no lunch) . Accidentally pulled into the wrong lot. Parked. Saw sign on door at sweet Charlie's but figured my visit was going to be quick, was only in and out in less than 3 minutes to grab two small snacks (spent $16). Saw my car got booted and the parking meter dude still charged me $100. That was the most expensive GF pastry visit in my life. There should be some sort of 10 min grace period. But after these experiences, I am now way too frustrated to ever go back. And the lot with the other businesses have already lost my business. Yes my fault ultimately. But to all other patrons, just BEWARE if you end up parking in the wrong lot. Even for less than 5 minutes, there are probably cameras and a parking dude watching you the whole time. What if you wanted to dine at two establishments ? Ridiculous. It is unfortunate but I simply do not want to venture back just because of this parking incident.
I first came here because my relative with celiac was visiting, but I'll absolutely continue coming back on my own! The apple fritter is the best I've ever had - the taste & texture is amazing, and it's not at all greasy like the apple fritters I've had elsewhere.
The location can be hard to spot & the google maps directions are misleading, so I recommend entering via the Pasadena Dr x Burnet intersection & cutting through the Texaco lot.
The owner came out to personally take our order. The 2 layer strawberry cake for our gender reveal was delicious. Great customer service and great products.
Sweet Charli Girl is such a fun spot for anyone with a sweet tooth! My absolute favorite thing I’ve tried here is the strawberry angel food cake donut. It was so good it felt downright sinful, and I’m still thinking about it! The cookie-filled cookies are another favorite because they hit that sweet tooth craving in just the right way. The kolaches were a little on the dry side, but they were still delicious.
One of my favorite things about this place is that the menu changes regularly, so there’s always something new to try, but they still keep some staples around. And the fact that everything is gluten-free makes it even better! As someone who is gluten-sensitive, being able to walk into a bakery and have everything on the menu be an option is such a treat.
The only downside is the parking situation, especially on busy weekends. There isn’t much parking nearby, and you have to be careful about where you leave your car because there’s a risk of getting towed if you park in the wrong spot. It can be a little frustrating when the shop is busy, so definitely pay attention to the signs.
Overall, Sweet Charli Girl is absolutely worth a visit, especially if you love creative, indulgent sweets and want a fully gluten-free bakery with plenty of variety. Just plan ahead for parking, and if you go.
This incredible gluten free bakery is the perfect makings of an iconic bakery in ATX that people flock to when visiting - or simply in the neighborhood. The kolaches are a staple for Texas and having a GF version warms my Texas heart (literally cause they warm them up). Every item is pure perfection! The apple fritter - home run! The donuts, the absolute best. Raspberry jam or Boston Cream - its all a win. And the coffeeeeee!!!!!
Just go here, it's amazing! If you are Gluten Free and want sweets, this is the place to go. We went for our first visit yesterday and left very happy customers. The customer service was awesome, the display of goodies was enticing and the environment felt very warm and inviting.

I normally love sweet Charli girl. It’s so nice that we have this wonderful option for gluten free people. Unfortunately, I went in 2 minutes before closing on a Saturday and the girl behind the counter was heavily reluctant to serve me. I don’t think it’s that hard to grab a cupcake or cookie for someone and ring them up in 2 minutes. I will hesitate to come back. Not great customer service - especially for a business still establishing a brick and mortar presence.
