This is a wonderful place to further your child’s educational development.
My daughter has been ahead of her class ever since introducing her here during the summer. It has been an amazing experience for her. She can even bring current homework in for clarification, comprehension building and alternative strategies to tackle all forms of school work with confidence.
The team here is outstanding. They are very patient and professional with all the students.
This is definitely an investment for any student’s educational journey.
Thank you for being so helpful!

I’m so thankful to have found Sylvan when I was seeking help for my son. He was several grade levels behind, but in 6 months working with the teachers at Sylvan, he has excelled and is catching up quickly!! Everyone has been so kind and helpful, and I feel tremendous relief to have this support for my son.

Overall if you want a tutor who will teach you and plan your success I would not recommend. You are not paying for one on one tutoring instead you are paying for a seat with including you 4 people total. Second, The tutors are not going to be teaching you instead you are going to purchase a book and what ended up happening is I would go page by page of that book. Third, there was no progress tracking, plan, or knowledge checks during my time. This was frustrating because when it got close to my test day (for the act) I still had plenty of the pages left instead of helping me understand what I needed to do I was told what ever I wanted to do was the plan which I expressed several times I needed help with understanding. Forth, there ACT study book was out date and when I spent a majority of my hours, learning math, I was very upset to have 2/3 (if not more) of it not be relevant. Overall, good place to drop your kid off, but don’t expect them to learn that much.

We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. At Sylvan, we strive to provide personalized support and clear communication for every student and family.
During the enrollment process, our ACT programs and instructional models — including both small-group (up to 4:1) and 1:1 options — are discussed so families can choose the format that best fits their goals and budget. We also provide ongoing progress monitoring, practice testing opportunities, and individualized learning plans designed to target each student’s academic needs.
For ACT prep specifically, student success is strongest when all components of the program are consistently utilized, including practice testing and assigned at-home work. We understand scheduling challenges can sometimes make full participation difficult.
We genuinely value all feedback and are continuously working to strengthen the experience we provide. For many years, our center has been honored to serve Suffolk families with highly rated academic support, and we remain committed to helping students grow in confidence and achievement.
We would welcome the opportunity to speak further and address any remaining concerns. Please feel free to contact our center at your convenience.

I saw my son was highly advanced for his age and sought out Sylvan to help him build his skills. He is not reading full books and just completed 72 kindergarten level sight words in 2 minutes with minimal errors at 4 years old. Thank you sylvan for all your help!

This is definitely the best investment I have ever made. The confidence that my grandson has gained in his academics is amazing. Gen, Ethan along with all of the tutors and teachers have really helped him get back on track. He was two grades behind in his reading and now he is almost where he needs to be in less than a year, Jaxson couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you.
