My dog Oso is a German shepherd / Malinois mix and is such a good boy but also a ball of energy. His training has helped so much in building a strong and fulfilling relationship between us . I love being able to reward him w freedom and trust off leash when he responds positively to training and commands. Tamed Canine also accommodated for my schedule before we went to Texas and got two weeks of amazing training and education.

I HIGHLY recommend! You won't regret it. I enjoyed working with Natalie, she's the only trainer I've met that not only tells us what to do, but gives us the WHY behind the tools and techniques she was teaching us. We contacted them because of our 5.5 yr old German Shepard male who was struggling with being bossy and over-corrects other dogs. Natalie showed us how to use his natural instincts to his benefit, how to take his training to the next level to keep him from getting bored and the reasons as to why this works. I am very grateful! It was great and fun for not only our pupper, but myself and daughter too!!

Nicky and Natalie are the best! I have a Bernerdoodle puppy who is vary excitable, and their board and train did wonders for him. At just 6 months old he now heels right by my side and will go into down stays in busy public places no problem. Their program gave him an incredible foundation and taught him how to be a calm, confident boy! I couldn’t recommend them more!

I have a new puppy which in and of itself is challenge enough! However Tove seemed to be a special case, she is a combination of extremely hyper and high strung while at the same time incredibly skittish and shy. Having adopted her right at 8 weeks as a rescue I figured this might be some latent trauma she would hopefully outgrow. At 4 months I knew I had my hands full and reached out to Nicky with Tamed Canine Dog Training, who had come highly recommended, for help. Unfortunately I lived out of state and was unable to travel with Tove to her personally. Despite the “distance training” Nicky was able to provide me with the tools and knowledge to help me understand Tove’s behavior and my own response. Through learned patience and diligence in following Nicky’s kind and calming professional guidance and instructions, I was better able to help Tove with her insecurities and provide the structure and boundaries she needed. Tove and I have learned so much from Nicky and the difference she has made in our lives is immeasurable! I highly recommend Nicky and Tamed Canine Dog Training and am planning to make the trip with Tove to her for additional hands on training for Tove and continuing education for myself!

I have been a veterinarian for 27 years and a dog owner for 35 (adult) years. I have rescued too many pets to count. I have actively worked closely with 6-7 different trainers over the decades. My family fell in love with a reactive corgi mix from the streets of Kansas. He made his way to my house and for over a year we enjoyed the hikes and trails that are the Colorado way of life. My approach to positive rewarding (bribing) our new family member to calmly walk past other dogs on leash failed time and time again. Despite lessons with other trainers, we found ourselves in the situation of not being able to walk past certain houses in our own neighborhood. Beans did the 5-week reactive training camp-stay with Tamed Canine. They provided reward based training to complete the foundation for him and then paired it with consistent and balanced communication through the use of his E-collar. It was so professionally and technically administrated that there was no confusion. The result? On his graduation day Beans gladly heeled past other dogs with only eyes for his human and his treat reward. Now Beans has a whole world that he can enjoy and thrive in. Nicky and Natalie are absolutely amazing with our anxious Pitt/Rott mix Quinley. He’s a tough one, and they’ve done great work training and working with him. They understand dogs and clearly care. They give us such peace of mind when we are away. Highly recommend!

Natalie was amazing and my dog loved going on his training sessions. When my pup saw Natalie arriving, he would run to the door with so much excitement. Not only did she do great with my dog, but she did lessons with me too to help me understand the training. I would highly recommend.

Nicky is one of the most incredible trainers I have ever met. I worked with dogs for over 15 years. Her knowledge and experience are second to none! If you are lucky enough to get her as a trainer you’re on the right track. Stick to the techniques she shows you and you will have an amazing dog.

Natalie has trained both my dogs-very different breeds and they both loved her. They still get so excited to see her and are living their best lives because of the freedom they can have because they are dependable off leash.
