Google reviewers rate Taylor Energy five stars based on seventy-two reviews, highlighting responsive communication, punctuality, and competitive pricing for solar and battery installations. One recurring criticism mentions delays in third-party signoffs and inspections, which reviewers attribute primarily to utility and permit departments rather than the installer.

After consulting with many companies, we elected to employ Taylor. One of the best decisions for our home we've ever made. Perfectly designed affordable solar system with battery. We even had the special Sebastopool wizard finish the install. See video.
Taylor Energy provided excellent service throughout the project. The only issue we had is the time it takes for various signoffs and inspections, which primarily is the responsibility of PG&E and the permit departments. Overall we had a good experience and recommend Taylor Energy for anyone wishing to install a new battery system.
I whole heartedly endorse and highly recommend Taylor Energy for their perseverance and unparalleled customer support. They went above and beyond in the resolution of a difficult transition of an older Enphase Solar system to provide an innovative home energy management and battery storage solution.
Taylor Energy is the best! I worked with Sean Taylor on a small solar project, he was a great resource and is a true believer in the technology. I highly recommend going with Taylor for your solar and battery storage needs. Support local!

Taylor Energy as a whole, from owner to each crew member, was responsive when the roofing contractor accelerated the timeline at the very last minute. They acted rapidly to install the stanchions during the roofing process once engineering returned the layout. Both companies worked well together to keep the work flow going. Leo sat down with me, my phone and my computer to install the apps to monitor the system, answering questions along the way. Sean Taylor, the company owner, checked every part of the installation personally and made sure all my questions were answered. Their attention to detail is very much appreciated. I would recommend this company every time.

Jordan, we couldn't ask for a better endorsement — thank you! Supporting local businesses means the world to us, thank you for your review and recommendation it means a lot!
We had Taylor Energy install our solar 8:years ago. It’s been working perfectly since and saved us hundreds of dollars in electric bills. We needed to reroof our house, so Taylor Energy deinstalled and reinstalled the solar panels. They coordinated everything with the roofing company. No small feat as the first appointment was cancelled by the roofing contractor due to rain. Taylor Energy has an awesome crew. While here, they installed a charging port for our new EV. We highly recommend Taylor Energy for solar installation. Thank you Sean and crew.
Diane, thank you so much for the wonderful review! Eight years in, it means a lot that you still trust us with everything from coordinating the reroof to wiring up your new EV charger — we'll be sure to pass your thanks along to Sean and the whole crew!
Five stars because there aren't more available. We just had our solar installation completed by Taylor Energy last Friday, and the experience was top-notch from start to finish. The crew was professional, punctual, and took the time to explain how the system works and what to expect during the final inspection process. The installation itself is incredibly clean—no messy wiring or shortcuts. Sean and Mike communicated clearly and frequently through every step. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for a smooth transition to solar!
James, what great feedback, thank you so much for taking the time to write us your review. So happy to hear it was a smooth experience top to bottom, we appreciate it!
I had narrowed down my solar project to two local companies including Taylor. Mike was an invaluable resource in helping to educate me and was very patient with my many requests for information and adjusting quotes. The service I recieved during my project design and quoting was outstanding.
Brian, thanks so much for choosing us for your solar project and for sticking with the fine tuning of information and the quoting. It’s great to hear the extra time and detail paid off for you. We really appreciate you sharing your experience!
I was up against the Jan. 1 deadline after another company suddenly dropped my solar project. Taylor stepped in and they were courteous, responded to my many inquires and some got it through the permit process. We made it and it was a great job, the onsite crew were friendly and informative and did a great job!
Thanks dan. Really appreciate the review and thanks again for the business. Much appreciated! Sonia have your order
