Tello Flooring, LLC

Luis is the best ! He was very honest and up front with us about our job. He gave us very valuable opinions and suggestions that gave us a much better outcome than we would have had originally. He and his team did a great job keeping the rest of our house clean and dust free during the work. They installed beautiful floors. And did a fantastic job of staining other bare wood to match. We couldn't be happier. We've already recommended Tello flooring to 3 other families.

Luis and his team are EXCEPTIONAL. We had them stain and refinish our oak floors and they look incredible. The pictures are raw and unedited, and speak for themselves. The floors literally glow! Before working with Luis, we had a HORRIBLE experience with a previous firm, who left our floors rough, with patchy staining and sanding marks. And after several weeks, the finish began to peel. Not to mention that ALL our shoe moulding got damaged, and stain was splattered throughout. There was little attempt to protect. And when we raised questions or concerns, we were met with excuse after excuse. They came to ‘fix’ our floors, twice, and it only got worse. It became clear that they only wanted to get in and out as quickly as they could without actually fixing the work. The work was done by a well-known local group who have been in business for decades. We were disheartened by their lack of accountability or pride in their work. Boy, I bet Luis had know idea what he was stepping into. We were traumatized and exhausted by the very thought of having to move everything out of our house and to start over again. We were anxious and unloaded all our trauma on Luis at our first meeting, but he was a true professional. He was very patient and took the time to explain each step of the process, and how you would remedy the poor workmanship prior. He answered our endless list of questions fully and patiently. He even encouraged us to list any areas we were concerned about so that he could make sure he addressed them fully. I called several of his references; they all gave Tello Flooring glowing reviews with a few remarking that they “would not use anyone else”. I was encouraged but still anxious. During the refinishing process, Luis and his team took care of our home as if it was theirs. They covered and taped all of our cabinetry, sensitive toe kicks and baseboard moulding, and took the time to ensure that the rest of the house was sealed with plastic and protected from dust. His team worked methodically, never rushed, to ensure each step was done right. Going above and beyond, Luis invited us to inspect the house at each key step (pre-stain, post-stain, pre/post final coat), in order to ease our anxieties Our refinishing included: sanding, water-popping, Duraseal provincial stain, Bona Drifast sealer, and two coats of Bona Traffic Go. The floors were screened, tacked, and hepa vacuumed between each coat. I considered having Luis do a third top coat, but he encouraged me to save my money. He was right - two coats looked beautiful. I rarely write reviews, and definitely none this long. But Luis and his team at Tello deserve every bit of praise for their work. I now understand why others say they would not use anyone else. I am now ‘Team Tello’ for life and recommend without hesitation their group for any hardwood refinishing. Tello Flooring focuses solely on hardwood floors - not tile, LVP - and it shows. Finding good craftsmen and good people is so hard these days. I’m so glad we found Luis and his team. I don’t want anyone to experience the pain we went through with the previous firm. And I will never again take for granted the skill, art, hard work and true passion it takes to refinish floors well. I love Luis’ approach to developing his team, and the positive impact they strive to bring to the community. Luis - we truly appreciate the care you took of us, of our floors, and of our home. Thank you!!!

Luis and his team did an exceptional job refinishing our 100 year old floors back to life, and installing new hardwood to match the rest of the house seamlessly. His attention to detail and craftsmanship is unmatched. He was also incredibly helpful in recommending other reputable contractors, which we had a great experience with as well. He was a joy to work with from start to finish. All around, fantastic!

We are very grateful our agent recommended Luis to us when we bought our house. He was the perfect person to have on this project. We knew very little about hardwood flooring when we started, but Luis took the time to explain all of our options, answer our questions, and give us his honest recommendations. We ended up having all of the hardwood floors and stairs replaced before we moved in. We were working with a tight deadline, and because it is an older home, a few unexpected issues came up along the way. Luis helped us navigate those issues, get them resolved, and keep everything on track for our move-in date. The floors look great, and we are very pleased with the recommendations Luis made throughout the process. We really appreciated his knowledge, honesty, and guidance and would happily recommend him to others.

Tello Flooring just refinished our red oak floors in our home in West Chester. I spent 33 years in the construction industry and when a contractor does a great job I believe they deserve a good review! Luis Tello was very professional! He communicated the entire process with us, did samples on our floor to make sure we were 100% satisfied with the final product and completed the work around our schedule while we were away. Luis and his employees were very trustworthy working in our home while we were away. They did an excellent job with dust protection and cleanup! Our project was all second floor work including stairs and their price was very reasonable. The finished product looks amazing! My wife and I definitely recommend Tello Flooring!

This is the second job Tello has completed for us - we refinished the original Red Oak hardwood floor on the first floor in 2017 (it is still beautiful), and just completed the stairs and second floor. Their work is beautiful, and they are very efficient and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend!

Luis and his team were fabulous. They were professional and respectful during the refinishing process. My home was very clean following their work which consisted of floor sanding throughout the first floor area and then refinishing and restoring to a beautiful finish . I couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend his work and team. They are A+++
