The food was fine, we shared a salmon Greek salad. The piece of salmon was small. The atmosphere was okay. They had a limited menu because of lack of staff.
The desserts are priced too high.
I have ordered a cake through them and had dine-in breakfast. The cake was easy to order, the chef was responsive and it turned out perfect. Breakfast is always tasty!
I enjoyed this place for many years but, under the ownership change in 2022, we sadly find ourselves going less and less, despite the fact that's just right down the street. It was once an excellent place for breakfast or lunch. The pastries and sandwiches that were once excellent are now poor to middling. This is quite unfortunate especially given the long history of the Bakehouse in the community.
This is not like German Food should taste. The Schnitzel (meat) was paper thin and all you tasted was breading. The Bratwurst can be bought in any Grocery Store like Jonesville Brand. Sauerkraut was warmed up and nothing was added to make it taste like in Germany.
The Bakehouse catered our daughter's wedding and did an amazing job! Jason listened to the wishes of the bride and groom as to their food likes, dislikes, and favorite foods when creating the menu for the event. Jason created a diverse menu that fused the bride's southern roots with the groom's Italian background. The guests raved about the delicious food! We also used The Bakehouse to make the wedding cake and all of the other desserts. Katelyn is very talented! The cake looked absolutely beautiful and the desserts were delightful! I would highly recommend Jason and Katelyn for any event!
The food was pretty good! Nothing crazy, but good. The reason for my 3 star review is that we waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive. It looked like every table waited around the same time for their food as well. When the food finally came, there were only 6 small potato pieces on my plate as a side. Just a bit disappointing after the very long wait.
The best eclair I ever had. My husband wanted to take the entire bakery case home after eating his chocolate croissant and cronut. I had to hold him off once he tasted my eclair. Good coffee and bacon too!

Went today for lunch and waited for over an hour before asking to get it to go, as people who came in after us were being served. My husband like the chicken panini, but my pork fritter was nasty, way over cooked and very dry! Needless to say we will not go back 😒
