Everyone on the phone seemed nice and easy to deal with, however I called multiple times about a bass instructor who was supposed to call me back with whether or not the instructor could take on a new student, but I never received a call back. All I wanted to know was if I should move on and find another instructor. I wish this wasn’t the way I was told to do so.
Best guitar shop in the area. Staff is awesome and helpful.

Everything you want from a music shop 180 degrees from GC. Personal service, always good selection of used instruments, plenty of bad jokes, good advice, and honesty. Plus, luthier/co-owner Mark Balash is a human PLEK machine.

Wow is all I can say about Mark's luthier work! I brought in a bass that had some significant shipping damage. I brought it here to see what my options for repair were. I'm blown away with how good of a job Mark was able to do with all the pieces (which thankfully were still in the case). I was expecting at least some level of scaring with the kind of damage the instrument had, but it's practically invisible. You need the right light and angle and to be close up and know exactly where to notice anything at all. I'm more than happy with Mark's work, and I'll be recommending him and the entire Berkley Music Group to anyone looking for a luthier! Thanks, Mark!
