The Dance Loft SF

So my husband and I got engaged and planned a wedding in 5 months (which is a bit nuts) and of course we decided to also try and learn / pull off the dirty dancing dance during that time. I found the dance loft online, bought 20 classes, and safe to say.. with Summer and Richard's incredible instruction, patience and talent, we Absolutely. Nailed. It (lift and all)! Everyone was Stunned..., and it was by far the highlight of our wedding weekend. Beyond that, we had so much fun dancing. My husband - who is Not a dancer - now has us signing up for dance classes. It was such a fun excuse for weekly date night post-class and we loved trying something new together. Cannot recommend this team enough!! 11/10

My husband and I had 10 hours of private studio instruction with Richard for our first dance across a little over a month. We had ~3.5 minutes of choreo with 4 individual songs (all with completely different vibes) and are pretty much beginners to dance. Richard made us feel comfortable, confident, and really excited to learn and practice. The choreo was super fun and matched what we were looking for exactly for each song. The process of learning from Richard and eventually performing at the wedding was an unexpected highlight of the wedding planning process and we are so delighted by how our performance came out. Richard is clearly super talented and it was quite inspiring to watch his process of teaching. We can't thank Richard enough and wholeheartedly recommend him / Dance Loft SF to anyone who is getting married!

We took dance lessons to prepare for our first dance, and it was a blast! We didn't have much dance experience, but Richard made it easy and fun. We took 4 lessons total, which felt like the right amount - the first lesson was focused on the basics, and Richard built choreography for the song we chose over the next few lessons. Highly recommend as a fun activity with your partner during wedding planning!

We had the best experience with Richard Hornor! My husband and I had never taken dance lessons before and we wanted to feel confident in a simple and fun routine for our first dance and Richard knew just what to do! He got us both out of our shell and ready for the big day in only a few lessons. The lessons flew by and we genuinely had so much fun with him. I couldn’t recommend Richard or the dance loft more!!

My husband and I took 4 private dance lessons with Richard ahead of our wedding, and it was so worth it. Neither of us have experience dancing, and Richard made us feel so much more comfortable with our first dance. It was lightly-choreographed but still felt very natural. Plus, it was so fun - we found ourselves looking forward to our lessons each week. Richard was patient, funny, and so easy to work with. We will miss seeing him each week - Can't recommend enough!

We worked with Inez at the Dance Loft in the weeks leading up to our wedding. She is so fun to work with, and explained and demo-ed the moves so well; we had no experience and now we can actually dance together (dips and lifts included!). We had a great time and feel like we learned skills we can use forever!!

My fiancé and I worked with Inez on our first dance for our Wedding. She was absolutely amazing! I am a complete beginner and Inez was extremely effective in helping me understand the different moves. Highly recommend working with Inez!

Richard did an excellent job in teaching both my fiancé and I a fun choreography for our wedding. I personally have two left feet, and at the end of five sessions, I felt confident with my dancing skills. I love how Richard was so personable, warm, and friendly, and made the classes easy to follow for beginners like us. I highly recommend signing up with The Dance Loft for wedding dance lessons.

We thought all was lost when our fabulous teacher, Summer booked a job that took her outside the city leaving us worried about whether we could find someone as great to help me and my fiancé finish choreographing our first dance. Lucky for us the Dance Loft has no shortage of absolute stars! We've been working with Inez for the past few weeks and are beyond impressed by her ability to make up dance segments on the spot and explain them in multiple ways, all while keeping the energy high and focussed. I also brought my dad in to the studio to prep for our father daughter dance. ANGEL Inez had only one lesson with us but made up an entire dance on the spot and did not rest until we understood each part. She clocked my Dad's desire to bring in his own moves and then built sections that complimented what we brought to the table. The sessions I've attended with Inez (w/ my Dad and partner) have been at night when I'm exhausted post work – I always leave the studio in a good mood with a sense of accomplishment. Thank you thank you Inez for taking over for Summer flawlessly and turning the uncertainty I had about these dances into confidence and genuine excitement

I highly recommend Richard Horner at the Dance Loft! He choreographed a beautiful couples dance for my wedding. My husband hates dancing and had no experience but Richard taught with patience and encouragement. We only went to 5 lessons yet our routine was 3 minutes long! We ultimately felt confident and nailed our routine at the wedding- didn’t miss a step! Those dance lessons were my favorite part of the entire wedding preparation journey. We feel so grateful and lucky that we found Richard!
