The Edge Rock Gym - Climbing and Fitness at a glance

Reviewers praise the facility's variety of climbing walls, bouldering areas, and kid zones, noting that staff are generally friendly and helpful to beginners and families. Day passes are considered inexpensive, and the gym offers auto-belay options for various skill levels. However, recurring criticisms highlight issues with cleanliness, specifically dirty holds, and complaints about the bouldering area's design and equipment quality. Some customers also report difficulties with membership cancellations and inconsistent route setting frequency.

My daughter and her friend have been going climbing here once a week for the last couple of months. They both love it and always talking about what a good time they have. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and always helpful.

We love this place! Challenges for every level. I haven't been to many rock gyms but these are some of the highest climbs I've had the pleasure of tackling. Keep up the good work!

Had a great experience at this climbing gym! Elijah was awesome and helped me out a ton, especially with learning the proper techniques and figuring out how to approach different climbs. He was super knowledgeable, patient, and made everything easy to understand. I learned a lot in a short amount of time and felt way more confident climbing by the end. Definitely recommend this gym, and huge shoutout to Elijah for making the experience so good!

Offers a wide variety of climbing, however there should be more emphasis on cleanliness. The holds are disgustingly, dirty, and over chalked. Just removing the holds and thoroughly cleaning them would be a huge improvement.

This gym has drastically declined in quality in the last couple years. First off, the AC is busted, so it’s consistently above 80 degrees at all times with no moving air, which makes climbing and even just hanging out a miserable experience. Not to mention it makes the weight room a literal sauna. Secondly, the amount that new routes that get set has declined to 1, or sometime no new routes every week, and the routes that do get set, are either far too difficult for the average climber, or just not flowy or fun. They need to focus on hiring more route setting staff, instead of teenage girls who know nothing about climbing, and just sit behind the counter, or wipe weight room equipment with Clorox wipes. Just today, a kid fell from one of the auto-belay walls because he incorrectly clipped into his harness (I think) and it snapped. He was uninjured, thankfully. Only one staff member got up to check on him, and the other two just sat behind the counter. Staff are rarely patrolling the floor, checking to see if climbers are being safe. The gym itself is clearly very old and dirty. It needs serious investments to make it a quality gym for the modern day. It’s fun as a day trip for friends or families, but with new climbing gym competition such as High Point in Orlando, this gym needs serious help to remain a go-to for Brevard County climbers.

Genuinely buns if you’re trying to do some bouldering. Never been in a gym where a tension board is strictly for members; this place felt like a stupid cash grab. Tension board was also really shaky at the slightest touch with some of the finger boards also being questionable. Not the biggest deal but it seemed like a safety issue to have a giant, fast ceiling fan right at the top of the tension board. Spray wall, if you could call it that, might be the worst one I’ve used in my life; I climb in an even smaller gym in a different state but at least they got a good wall. When I was here a year ago it was just alright at best but I didn’t have much negative to say, but now I got nothing good to say except staff was chill. Route setting was meh with not many climbs and their grading was questionable at best with it being difficult to also look for the grade of the climb. Only ac they got is some fans. Could go on but you get the point wouldn’t climb here again genuinely bottom 5 gyms I’ve been to and I’ve climbed in my own bedroom 1/10 Almost forgot to add that their hours are so weird and inconsistent
