I’ve had a great experience at The Hot Room Downtown, especially taking classes with Josh K! His classes are challenging in the best way. I really appreciate that he demonstrates each movement and offers modifications, making the class approachable for beginners while still challenging for more experienced. As someone who’s still learning, that makes a huge difference and helps me feel more confident in class.
I also love the little touches, like the shoutouts for class milestones, first classes, and birthdays! It makes the experience feel more personal and welcoming, and it’s such a fun way to celebrate everyone’s progress. Josh brings great energy, and you can tell he genuinely wants everyone to succeed. Highly recommend taking one of his classes!

I’m trying to remain neutral but they host a “Full Moon Yoga” party on the canal that lasts until 10pm which is extremely disruptive between patrons throwing their trash and scooters on my lawn and the window shaking party music. I can’t speak to the yoga experience but I can say I don’t want to ever attend or recommend this establishment based on having to endure Full Moon Yoga Parties.
* I will not be removing my review but thanks for the condescending response and lack of accountability about public spaces and community, of which I am also apart of. Additionally, I am a resident closer than you’ve referenced, so I am unclear what you are implying other than that I am not being truthful. Scooters being geofenced from the canal path do not prohibit scooters being abandoned on my private property.

Hi Katelyn, we are sorry to hear this free event on the public grounds along the Canal, separate from our studio space, disrupted your night.
We are very proud to say this is The Hot Room's 6th season partnering with the Indianapolis Cultural Trail to bring free wellness programming to the community, and we're honored to be part of that partnership — the Cultural Trail provides so much for downtown Indy through the free events they host. This was our 3rd Full Moon Yoga Party and thankfully, we have never had any complaints. The event is hosted in the Admiral Spruance Basin, part of the City's public Downtown Canal, and managed in partnership with the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. The Trail's grounds crew and security work diligently to make sure the 10pm noise ordinance is observed for any event held there, ours included.
Additionally, the grounds crew went through the north end of the Canal before we left, then came back Sunday morning to catch anything we might have missed. We hold the event on that stretch specifically because it's away from residences — everything residential starts south of 10th. It’s worth mentioning that the Canal towpath is geofenced against scooters. Many do not know this and we are aware that scooters get abandoned in the area.
We take being a good neighbor on the Canal seriously, not just to the people who show up to practice with us. We would encourage you to report any future concerns to the Indianapolis Cultural Trail directly at [email protected].
If you would like to experience The Hot Room’s heated fitness, heated yoga and recovery services at our Downtown location, we’d love to invite you in for our Open House on Sat, Sept 12, 2026.
*P.S. Reviews like this can hurt small businesses like ours. If you would consider removing your negative review, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Amazing experience at Hot Pilates with Mya! From the moment I walked in, everyone was so welcoming. The upbeat music kept the class fun and motivating and I loved that it was high-intensity while still being low-impact. The room was packed, which speaks for itself! I was visiting from out of town for the weekend and decided to drop in for a class. I’m so glad I did. If you’re looking for an encouraging atmosphere and a great workout, I highly recommend checking it out!

Today’s my birthday and free sunrise yoga on the canal felt like a perfect way to start it. I’m so happy I did. The Hot Room being community-focused and having such awesome staff has definitely intrigued me to explore more classes.
