I went in for a simple blowout and got hair ripped out of my scalp, like the whole thing was so painful and at the end I did leave a tip out of respect but I won't be going back, I shouldn't be in agony while getting my hair done

I went in for a trim and told them 1 to 1.5 inches max off my hair. The cut ended up being 5-6 inches off my hair. My heart dropped to my stomach I was devastated because I had spent over a year growing out my long hair. The stylist was way too careless and heavy handed. It's a long haired girls worst nightmare. They did offer to try and fix it and didn't make me pay for the service.

Ali Akduru did a fantastic Butterfly Hair Cut on me. did better than what I wanted. I absolutely loved this place and got so many compliments! Ali is incredibly professional. 💕 He took the time to listen, analyze my hair, and explain how my face shape, hair type—even my neck and shoulders—affect the right haircut choice. Avoid this salon – Shady pricing, terrible results, and unacceptable behavior Save yourself the time and money. Ali Akduru is completely unprofessional. Front desk pricing is never transparent; every time you ask for a quote, you get vague answers. I’ve visited four times, and the price increased significantly every single visit for the exact same service (short haircut and root touch-up). Every single time I left this place, something inside bothered me that I couldn't quite put my finger on, but because he cut my hair closest to what I wanted, I felt like I had no choice but to keep going back. The last time before this visit, the exact same thing happened, but I didn't say anything. However, after how badly he mistreated and hurt me this time, I felt I had no choice but to leave a review. I have never rated a business before and never intended to, and I honestly feel awful having to write this, but I want to speak up so others don't waste their time and money—and so he understands just how unfair and hurtful his behavior was. On my last visit, I was quoted $195 ($75 cut + $120 root touch up), but was charged $250 plus tax at checkout. Worse, the results were terrible: * The color was completely missed—the entire top of my head was left grey/white. Ali laughed it off and blamed the light. * The haircut was uneven, with messy, unadjusted and long layers. It looked so bad that my own clients and employees pointed it out laughingly, telling me I needed another haircut. Because I live in Brooklyn and run a business, making time to go back to Manhattan is a huge effort. I called, explained the issues, and scheduled a fix for the following Sunday, although having to be in the city two weeks in a row on my busy business schedule was a huge hassle. I understand that we all can make mistakes, but there is always a way to make a client happy. However, he clearly did not want to fix it and intentionally made it worse. Instead of apologizing or fixing my hair properly, he used the haircut to punish me, telling me "this is all I can do." He even personally admitted to me that he dislikes customers who ask to fix their hair, which is completely unethical. Without completing the haircut fully, he rushed through it and walked out, saying he "had to leave." To top it off, the front desk tried to charge me again for a full haircut—for a corrective visit on a haircut he didn't even complete. They told me that Ali specifically asked them to charge me, which is unheard of. Imagine visiting twice, having your hair ruined both times, and on top of everything being asked to pay a second time for an incomplete, botched job. For me, it isn't just about high prices—it is about basic fairness and how you treat people. I would happily pay an even higher price for a haircut if I left happy and well cared for. But leaving unhappy, mistreated, and taken advantage of after wasting two full days, so much effort, and time from my busy schedule is completely unacceptable. You walk out feeling absolutely awful about yourself. The rest of the staff is friendly, but Ali’s ego, hidden pricing, and complete lack of professional ethics make this place a nightmare. Avoid at all costs.

I had a full balayage and toning done with Tony, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the result! Tony was so patient, kind, and genuinely cared about making sure my hair turned out the way I wanted. He took his time and paid attention to every detail without rushing. You can really tell that he puts his heart into his work. I absolutely love how my hair turned out, and I’m so happy I trusted him with my hair. Highly recommend Tony if you’re looking for someone who is patient, talented, and truly cares about his clients! ❤️

I had an amazing experience here. Tony did an amazing job with my cut and blow out, he is so nice and asked all the right questions. I gave him a really general idea of what I wanted and he gave good opinions when i asked what i should do. I will def be coming back again :)
