The Krupnick Approach was a phenomenal experience for me. As an alumna of the High Jump Program, I participated in the Krupnick Approach 2-week ACT prep summer program. The instructors and tutors were extremely dedicated and provided customized, targeted support based on data from our practice tests, allowing me to focus on exactly what I needed to improve rather than spending time on areas I already knew.
The weekly practice tests closely mirrored the actual ACT, which helped me feel confident and prepared on test day. After completing the program, I felt much more comfortable taking the ACT. I scored 6 points higher than my practice test scores using the test-taking strategies taught by the tutors!

The Krupnick Approach is fantastic service, and they were referred to me by a friend who said that he helped her get her score up significantly. I started with Dr. Krupnick for English, Andrew for math, and Joe for science as well as reading, and all of these people helped me improve immensely. They are so flexible with their timing and scheduling, which I think is a really big perk when it comes to studying for the ACT, especially when you have a busy high school schedule. As well as they are really kind and diligent in the way they go about things, being understanding that we have responsibilities, but they are really smart as to how to make this process as seamless and as time-efficient as possible, which I really appreciate. I would rate them a 10 out of 10, a 150 out of 100 if I could. They are absolutely fantastic. I don’t think that you can do any better than this company. Dr. Joe really dedicates 100% to his students and is committed to their success. I hope that everyone has a similar experience as I did with the Krupnick Approach.

I had a phenomenal experience with the Krupnick Approach 2 week ACT prep Summer program, which I had the opportunity to participate in as an alumni of the HighJump program. The practice was incredibly effective and helped me focus on exactly what I needed to improve instead of spending time on areas I already knew. The weekly practice tests closely mirrored the actual ACT, which made me feel confident and prepared on test day. Additionally, participating in the program was free and did not require any additional fees. The tutors working with the Krupnick Approach were very dedicated to helping us succeed and during every session they would use data from the most missed questions on the practice tests to give us targeted feedback. When I took the ACT two months after completing the program and with the test taking skills imparted on me by the tutors, I scored 3 points higher than my practice test scores. The program also offered the opportunity to visit the Chicago branch of the CNA. During this visit, I was given a chance to meet and speak with different members of the CNA team and ask them about their experiences. Additionally, we were given the chance to participate in a building exercise that related directly back to insurance and we were also given a tour of the building. I’m extremely grateful for both the Krupnick Approach and HighJump as they allowed me to meet new like-minded people my age, as well as utilize helpful testing strategies. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking for fast, meaningful improvement on the ACT and a plethora of other opportunities to learn about colleges and careers.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered. Joe Krupnick gives a really “hard sell” and an unusually short deadline to accept his services. He told me that “we would hit the ground running” and have a session the same week, but nothing was scheduled until 25 days later, which left no time for any improvement or agreed continuous sessions before the scheduled ACT test (all which was discussed in great detail prior to committing).
His excuses were that they were “really busy” and one of his instructors was having a baby, for reasons why we couldn’t get scheduled for the paid for/time sensitive sessions. In my opinion, this company should be called the “Crooknick Approach”, as they take your money without delivering the expected point increase that’s posted on their website. We were promised a 3-4 point improvement from the last official ACT score and only received an embarrassingly low 1/2 point increase. When discussing, they kept referring to their “mock” test scoring which had nothing to do with the baseline official composite score we were trying to improve on. Also discussed prior was the importance of not having any zoom or virtual sessions due to personal covid experiences and needing only in-person sessions. The importance of this detail was cavalierly dismissed, disregarded and scheduled anyhow without my approval. They are quick to take your money and not deliver what was promised. I tried to resolve this both professionally and amicably for months, but instead, they chose to waste time going back and forth and did resolve satisfactory. Shameful.

Dear Rose -
We are very sorry that you are disappointed with your experience and your student's results. Our records indicate that your student improved her composite ACT score by 3.25 points with 12 hours of instruction, which is generally in line with our expectation for her program length. All students in our test prep programs begin with an initial baseline exam to establish their current score, even if they have taken previous official or practice exams. This ensures that our tutors' instruction is tailored to where the student is currently performing. Based on these initial results, she improved by 4 points in English, 6 points in Math, 1 point in Reading, and 2 points in Science. We of course always hope to gain as many points as possible with the time we have together, and we apologize that you are disappointed by these results.
While we understand that you wished to receive a full refund for your student's program, we are unable to offer this given the results your student saw on her official exams. We also understand that you wanted to get started sooner, and delays in getting your student's baseline scheduled caused us to start 12 days after her program commenced. While we also understand that you did not wish for your student to sit for an initial diagnostic exam, it is crucial that students take a baseline exam before starting their program so that tutors can accurately tailor lessons and strategies to each student's strengths and weaknesses at that time. The same purpose is served by our regular, complimentary mock tests, and it appears that your student did not sit for any of the three recommended mock tests throughout the course of her 3-month program.
We also apologize for the scheduling difficulties caused by her tutor falling ill. We always aim to provide the most effective instruction possible with the least amount of hassle, and we regret that we have not met your expectations in this regard.

My family is so grateful for Joe Krupnick and his team. We reached out to The Krupnick Approach for ACT prep for my son, particularly wanting to improve his math score. It took a few tries to find the most effective math tutor, but Joe was always willing to listen and troubleshoot to find the right fit. Andrew Kletzien was phenomenal for math! My son’s math score went up 8 points from his initial test! Cameron Gong for Science and Mark Edwards for English/Reading were very helpful also. My son ended up with a perfect score in English. Overall, his composite score went up 6 points from a 26 to a 32!! This composite score exceeded our initial expectations.
I think what sets Krupnick apart is the help around strategy and test tips in addition to tutoring subject content.
My son is a senior, and we’re hopeful the return on our investment in The Krupnick Approach will be seen in college offers and opportunities.
