Michelle LeBlanc's law firm provides much more than just legal services. As this was my first time working with a family law attorney, I must say that I was nervous from all of the horror stories that I had heard about divorce. Then I realized quickly that"family law" to Michelle means treating you like family! Michelle and her staff did an amazing job at an amazing rate! The price was great, because there was no litigation and Michelle was basically filling our “order”. My wife and I had an agreement, so Michelle explained it was important to reink the agreement in a “mediated settlement agreement” format so that the agreement would be irrevocable. She also explained it takes time for parties and children to process all the changes that will occur and if possible it would be better for the kids to transition into two homes during the summertime. We made our agreement and filed our case and allowed almost 8 months to pass before we finalized the case last month. This was good to allow our boys to finish the school year and make the final adjustments into separate homes during the summer time. Having an agreement and getting it to an irrevocable format also allowed my wife and I to control of the process & begin a positive co-parenting relationship moving forward. In the end, I couldn't be more pleased with how seamless she made this difficult process.

My case was high conflict and at the time I hired Michelle the mother was denying all visitation. A few weeks after I hired her, the visits were turned back on but not as much as I liked. It took us about 60 days after mediation to come to an agreement on temporary orders for me to get what I wanted at the time. During that time, other life elements impacted my case, where we had to pivot taking different positions. She did this with ease and confidence. She was always reachable and available to me. Typical response rate was same day or within the hour. At the end of the case, I was able to expand my visitation time to obtain the amount of visitation I wanted. Michelle calmly and kindly guided me though this bumpy and unpleasant time to a positive resolution for me and my son. If you need someone that will be attentive and actually available to help you, I highly recommend her.

I hired Michelle with less than 24 hours to turn around a final order. The Court had rejected the final order for divorce I did myself with the help of AI again and I only had ONE day to resolve it. I randomly called her and was able to speak to her about my 1 day deadline due to the court kicking back the order. Chat GPT had helped me prepare the order and hit all the topics, but had not used the “magic words” phrasing needed for some critical provisions. She pointed out I needed “ORDER” language to ensure the father would return my child to me following visitation in case of a future dispute. She was very personable on the phone while she worked through the order. She updated my order properly and was lightning fast and I met my deadline to get it turned in.

Michelle did an amazing job on my original paternity establishment case. The dad was very aggressive serving me with papers weeks after I had my baby and requesting CUSTODY, like he could breast feed…. The dad simply wasn’t reliable in any way. Michelle had the Court pay back some of my attorney’s fees for his failure to provide financials. Michelle had me gather job postings he was qualified for as a college graduate, and documentation of the value of his free housing and free car, while still only working minimum wage to build our case for meaningful child support. She also built a case for attorney’s fees, which is rarely awarded, due to the number of excessive and unnecessary filings of his first lawyer (almost 100 court filings). In the end we were able to trade these 2 items, for the visitation schedule I wanted, which deviated from standard, and was truly in our son’s best interests meeting his schooling, structure and routine. Michelle was truly a blessing through this situation!

Michelle did a kick-a job. At first, when I filed for divorce, our daughter was only a year and 2 months. My ex had a major attitude and refused to go to the first hearing. My plan was to beg for the standard visits that start when your child turns 3 years old. When she no showed, Michelle and I changed gears, and I asked for 50/50 on time, and got it! She was furious. She set a hearing for a “do over” and then lied at the do over hearing saying she didn’t know when I had texts that she did know about the hearing, but wasn’t going just because. The Court denied her do over. She was even more mad. She changed attorneys like 3 times. We even had to have a final trial on it. In the end, I got to keep my 50% of the time with our daughter. Michelle was awesome!

I highly recommend Michelle. This is my second time to hire this lawyer and she did a great job both times. She was 100% prepared and thoughtfully laid out our plan from the beginning. My ex wife’s attorneys were overreaching and unreasonable. By planning out our positioning ahead of mediation, Michelle minimized the concessions we had to make. Prior to mediation, Michelle helped get our expensive car sold immediately to stop the car note in my name. At mediation, we were able to shift more pretax dollars in retirement to my wife’s side which are taxable dollars and not cash dollars without any adjustment for tax. In response to my ex wife’s claims to claw back mortgages paid on my premarital home, Michelle greatly minimized the exposure by claiming offsets for the amount of money saved by our community estate due to deducting the mortgage and property taxes for lower federal income taxes. In the end, working with Michelle allowed us to put a stop to the unreasonableness and overreaching ridiculous settlement offers to arrive at an appropriate and fair settlement.
