Tamara is an amazing dreadlocks artist. She has been maintaining my locs from the very start of my journey and I couldn’t be happier. From tiny baby locs to mature, long, thick locs she has helped me take beautiful care of them. Regular maintenance has been key and her detox service is amazing. Her artistry shines through with the added wraps and beads she finishes off with. Aside from her amazing talent and highly professional work, Tamara is a beautiful soul and spending time with her is very healing. I am very thankful I found her.

This is long overdue!!! For over five years, I have entrusted my crown to Tamara at The Moon Sage Studio Salon, and calling her simply a "loctician" feels like an understatement. Tamara is a true artisan, a visionary business owner, and a deeply beautiful spirit.
Walking into her studio is like stepping into a shrine, a celebration of nature connecting you back to a primordial way of life. She has cultivated an environment that makes you feel instantly relaxed, secure, and at peace. Sitting in her chair never feels like a transactional appointment; it is more like spending time with a great friend. She is wonderfully talkative, courteous, kind, empathic, and radiates a positive energy that leaves your soul feeling just as refreshed as your hair.
When it comes to her craft, Tamara is undeniably one of the best in the business. Her hands work with intention, care, and absolute mastery. She's always mindful of how things are going throughout your interaction. And her reputation precedes her, throughout the Northeast and the wider dreadlock community - everyone knows her name!

My 90 minute scalp spa was so relaxing! My hair and scalp felt AMAZING after my service and Tamara is such a sweetheart. The studio is cozy and welcoming. I can't wait for my next one!

Came in for my birthday with hopes of understanding my hair better and continuing my loc journey more openly without hiding behind hair with wraps and cute bandannas due to bunching alittle to much for my liking and was blown away by not only the technique and ease of how my hair was taken care of but made any request I had about my hair feel like it was not big deal to do. Answered any and all my questions and also treated me to a few complimentary beads for my birthday. Pampered and happy is how I left and I will 10/10 recommend to anyone to come see you girl!
I can not say enough about Tamara! What an incredible experience starting my dreadlock journey. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and professional but equally humble and down to earth. I’m 46 and had my whole head locked for the first time. I couldn’t possibly love them more! Highly recommend!
Amazing energy and an amazing job! It was my first visit there and I felt I was visiting a kindred soul. But more importantly she absolutely nailed the colors I was looking for. Very impressed.
