The Pet Cottage

The service Wendy provides to both the pets who need to be rehomed and to the owners who can no longer care for them is truly ablessing. My sister developed dementia and was unable to properly care for herself much less properly care for her dog. Her dog was 11 and I was desperate to find a home for him and I was afraid he would not get adopted and remain in a shelter until I finally found The Pet Cottage. The work they do there is amazing with caring devoted volunteers. Wendy makes it her mission to find these pets loving forever homes. I knew I was in the right place and doing the right thing for the dog. Putting the dog in Wendy's hands to find a forever home gave me peace of mind. Thank you Wendy!!

When my father passed away, I wasn't sure how I could find the best home for his 8-year-old dog. I found The Pet Cottage (thanks to Google), and sent them a message about their Lifelong Guardianship Program. Ann reached back out to me pretty quickly, and within a couple of weeks, the perfect Forever Guardian saw Bozzly and wanted to meet. Wendy and Ann couldn't have made it any easier for me to feel comforted knowing that this was the best choice for Bozzly. I can't thank them enough and highly recommend The Pet Cottage. For anyone looking to support their mission of caring for pets whose owners have passed away or can no longer care for them, donations can be made directly through The Pet Cottage website. They are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and supporting them ensures that other pets receive the same care and loving transition that Bozzly did.

Wendy and the Pet Cottage staff are amazing. My brother was critically ill and they were able to find the kindest and most loving foster for his sweet senior dog Bella. There are not enough words to express my gratitude to them.

Pet Cottage is amazing! There are no words to describe the “peace” they give to a pet parent who needs to find a new home for their pet!!!! I will never forget the experience of working with Wendy to find a home for my “baby”!!!

When my elderly mother fell and as a result was unable to return home I was faced with the heartbreaking task of finding him a new home due to condo restrictions and not being able to take him myself.. Wendy stepped in with compassion, understanding, and her true gift of finding the perfect solution. Thanks to her dedication, Bobbi has been rehomed with an amazing lifetime guardian family who is giving him the love and care he so deserves. The process was handled with such kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern for everyone involved. Because of the Pet Cottage (Wendy), Bobbi now gets to live out his life in happiness and comfort and I have peace of mind knowing he's safe and cherished. Wendy truly has a heart of gold and an incredible passion for what she does and I will forever be grateful for her and the Pet Cottages mission. <3

Grateful for this exquisite place, where all animals are loved and protected

PLEASE PLEASE GIVE ME MY DOG BACK I have cancer which today I found out im in remission. We gave pet cottage my bichon alittle over a week ago, with the understanding if I wanted her back I could get her back..the term is a guardian and they with help with pet medical costs. Well today my husband (a disabled vet) tried calling mailbox full, tried texting no response other than "shes with a guardian" well my doctor said giving her up is negatively impacting my health and all I had to do was tell them my dr advice to give my dog back. Texts from me. From my poor husband to no avail. This is dishonest and sad that they would negatively impact a sick woman's health.

I am shocked what they pretend to be is phony. My wife has cancer she gave pet cottage our puppy with the understanding that we can get her back as a guardian which she explained means the dog is ours again. Not true we tried calling mailbox is full we sent several texts no response. Her dr said not having the dog will weaken her immune system by crying and feeling of loss. They dont care ..they all if a sudden are no where to be found Disgraceful I am a disabled veteran.

What this organization does is nothing less than AMAZING. The Pet Cottage has been an absolute savior for hundreds of animals that have been in need. In most cases, they save "seniors" that are not as appealing to prospective adopters and not as easy to "re-home", but who deserve to live out the golden years of thier lives with love and dignity. This is exactly what this organization does, they provide a sanctuary to these wonderful animals to live out the remainder of thier lives with dignity and love. In my particular case, I received military orders to go overseas and my 2 dogs were very senior in age. I was extremely concerned that they wouldn't survive the trauma from the transit. I was absolutely heart broken about the situation and didn't know what I was going to do, but when I reached out to Wendy, I realized what an ANGEL she really is. I can not say more about The Pet Cottage, they are a fantastic organization with amazing people, who really do it for the love of the animals. Thank you, The Pet Cottage!!!

The Pet Cottage gives animals loving and protective care for their entire lives. The residents and those with guardians are loved and guaranteed happy lives no matter what their condition may be. Wendy and her incredible staff of employees and volunteers are the greatest ever!!!❤️❤️❤️
