We absolutely LOVED having our wedding at The Pines Black! We had exceptional communication with Laura throughout the entire planning process. No detail was overlooked and she was so easy to work with. Angel, our Venue Manager on the day of, was so helpful, answered last minute questions as they popped up throughout the day, and was ready to step in at any time to help our group. Kayla and Holly, our bartenders for the evening, were wonderful. They helped keep the party going throughout the night! We had custom cups for our guests and they even helped us collect them at the end of the night so they didn't get thrown away. We couldn't have asked for a better day and we are so grateful to all of the members of The Pines staff who made it the best day ever!!

Ive been wanting to get married at the Pines since the day it was built. It's obviously beautiful and clearly has a good reputation for a reason. A few minor things that could have made our day better such as our day of coordinator. I felt as though she didn't know anything communicated in our last meeting and wasn't really acting as a day of coordinator, more of just an employee of the Pines. Wish we would have hired someone instead as there was multiple times during the day no one was paying attention to the schedule and I as the bride had to facilitate. Overall, our day was fantastic and still highly recommend the Pines, just be aware not all coordinators are going to be as fantastic as one you pay for independently as they still have to help run the venue! Everyone we worked with was incredibly kind & Laura helped catch a few things i had forgotten to plan during our final meeting!

I've never been somewhere with acoustics this bad. I couldn't even hear myself talk and this was due to an absurd amount of echoing from normal conversation. An audio architect needs to come here to install audio treatment. Anyway, the food was great, the venue was great, lighting was solid. However, not being able to hear someone from across the table ruined the experience.

We completely understand the importance of clear, controlled audio, especially during such meaningful events. Our entire team is a strong advocate for professional DJ services or bands for wedding receptions. These professionals bring expertise in audio management, including volume control tailored to the venue's size and, most importantly, directional adjustments to optimize sound quality throughout different parts of the event.
For example, a DJ will often spread the speakers throughout the space to provide full 360-degree coverage for the ceremony, cocktail music, and speeches, ensuring everyone can hear the music or the speaker during these moments (which is how our in-house speaker system is designed). Then, right before the signature dances and main dance starts, the DJ will pivot, move, or even remove some speakers to focus the audio specifically onto the dance floor area. This helps create ‘quiet zones’ for people to continue chatting throughout the evening, offering a more comfortable guest experience while also creating the traditional wedding dance party vibe.
In the case of the event you attended, it seems the hosts opted for a DIY approach with audio, using our house speakers connected to a phone and controlled by a younger family member. While this option is available, we strongly recommend it only for specific parts of the event, like the ceremony, cocktail music, and speeches, as it may not offer the nuanced control and directional adjustments that a professional setup provides. Our ceiling-mounted speakers are designed to cover the entire venue uniformly, which can impact sound distribution and volume control, especially as the number of guests fluctuates throughout the evening.
During the construction of Pines Black, we consulted with an audio architect company to design and implement acoustical treatments throughout the venue. This includes audio panels placed throughout the main reception space. While we focused on aesthetics by camouflaging the panels, the entire upper peak section of Pines Black is filled with these audio panels to resemble the wall and provide the clean, crisp look you see inside the venue.
Your feedback is invaluable as we continue to strive to improve our guests' experiences. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and will certainly take your comments into account to improve future communications with clients regarding our in-house audio system and the benefits of hiring a professional DJ service.

Absolutely Flawless Experience at Pines White! We could not have asked for a better experience with Pines White! From start to finish, the entire staff was exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure all of our needs were met throughout the entire day. The venue itself is breathtaking, but the highlight was our beautiful outside ceremony. It was incredibly tranquil, serene, and felt like a true piece of heaven for both us and our guests as we said our vows.
Laura Limesand was absolutely fabulous from the very day I booked the venue. She was incredibly helpful with mapping out different layouts and offered fantastic ideas for things to do both during and after the ceremony. She even assisted with our timelines by asking thoughtful questions that we wouldn't have ever thought of on our own, keeping us completely organized and stress-free.Our day-of coordinator, Angel, was an absolute blessing! She was right there helping our family and friends with anything they needed to assist in the setup. Her beautiful smile and positive energy were absolutely fabulous, and she kept our timeline completely spot-on all day long.When it came to the reception, our bartenders, Kayla and her partner in crime, were amazing! They kept the energy high, served great drinks, and took wonderful care of all our guests.
If you are looking for a stunning venue with a team that genuinely cares about making your day perfect, I cannot recommend Pines White enough!

We truly could not have dreamed of a more perfect place to get married than The Pines Black! 🤍 From the beautiful venue itself to the incredible staff, everything about our wedding day was absolutely perfect.
