The Rooftop on Basin

The Rooftop on Basin was the venue for our son’s wedding weekend welcome dinner. We had a fantastic cocktail hour downstairs in the lobby, and then an absolutely wonderful dinner upstairs afterwards. The setting was perfect, food was delicious and the staff was on point!

I gave 2 parties there and people are still talking about them. It's a great view and a nice setting. I liked the fact that it is not too busy and parking was easy. I would highly recommend this place .

Anna and her team were fabulous! We hosted a company gala event here and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service made the entire evening feel seamless. Everyone in our group had a fantastic time, and the views truly took it to another level — you honestly can’t beat them. It was the ideal setting for a memorable team event, and we would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend for both the experience and the scenery!

We hosted a social event at The Rooftop on Basin Street as part of our CMOLab conference, and it was nothing short of magical. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous; rich with history, beautifully maintained, and offering breathtaking views that gave our evening a real sense of place. It was the perfect backdrop for connection, conversation, and celebration. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the ambiance and charm. The space is both grand and intimate, and an ideal setting for groups who want their event to feel elevated and meaningful. We’re so grateful to the team for helping us pull off a memorable night. If you’re planning an event in New Orleans and want something with real character and impact, this is the place.

I’ve had the pleasure of hosting multiple events at The Rooftop on Basin, ranging from large gatherings to smaller meetings through the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce. Each experience has been nothing short of amazing. The view is breathtaking, the food consistently delicious, the access to parking convenient, and the team is always top-notch. Messina's will always be one of my favorite venues to work with, especially The Rooftop on Basin, and we can’t wait to return for another event soon!

We appreciated their flexibility and professionalism in accommodating our unique needs. We highly recommend The Rooftop on Basin for anyone seeking a stunning venue with exceptional service. Thank you to the entire team for a memorable experience; I eagerly anticipate future collaborations.

The views from this event location were breathtaking. You can see the New Orleans skyline and was perfect at dusk. The food was delicious and the event staff were all very professional and kind. We appreciated working with the whole in setting it up. They were quick to answer questions and responsive and helpful with anything that needed to be taken care of.

We made the logical choice of staying at the beautiful brakeman hotel while we were in New Orleans for a destination wedding. Especially seeing as we booked it at the rooftop on basin. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean and well stocked. The bridesmaids and myself got ready in this room and the photos came out gorgeous! Aesthetically very pleasing. The doorman, Mr Gregory was a great host. Simply delightful. We look forward to visiting and again staying at this charming historic hotel.

We hosted my son’s rehearsal party here in June and it was fantastic!! The staff was so professional and helpful. Nathan went out of his way to make our evening extra special. The options we had for food were plentiful and the presentation was beautiful. The bartenders were personable and efficient! The venue itself is beautiful and the perfect backdrop for a special occasion. Being from out of town it was so nice to work with people that truly cared that you were getting exactly what you envisioned! Highly recommend The Rooftop on Basin!
