My partner booked a couples massage for my 30th birthday as a surprise. I had the pleasure of being paired with Heath. To say this was an exceptional experience would be an absolute understatement. Heath’s hands were blessed by the massage Gods themselves and then probably dipped in a magic pool that gifts you relief and relaxation. The amount of care and focus to problem areas I forgot I had was apparent and unforgettable. I am not from the area, but I’d damn near travel just to experience this level of expertise again. If you were an athlete or have back and hip pain, THIS is your man. THANK YOU for giving me peace that I haven’t had in years. Side note- Julia was also wonderful and professional as well. She managed my partners care and was just as fantastic. 10/10 would book again.

Wonderful people. They accommodated 3 of us in one room. Where you going to go where that happens. Easy to get to, parking steps away. Thay evening all 3 of us shared how we all woke up (in seperate houses) the next day feeling great. We wanted to celebrate 3 different occasions and do it together. Thank you Speakeasy for a memorable and relaxing massage.

I love Melody I have been coming to her at this spa(Prarie Village)for 8 yrs.She always knows how to massage where my body needs it. Loved it then, love it now. The new ambiance and new place is great and easy to get to. 5 stars!⭐️

Wow! Before I can even begin talking about this wonderland of a spa, I have to start with the incredible customer service I received from Jennifer, the spa concierge. Listen, if you ever want to know how to deliver exceptional customer service, she’s your teacher! I reached out the day before, hoping to schedule an appointment for a Saturday, and left a voicemail. Within minutes, Jennifer texted me. She was upfront about how unlikely it might be to accommodate my next-day request, but instead of simply saying they were booked, she continued asking questions about what I was looking for. Then, within minutes, another message came through: “Don’t give up on us yet. Melody is checking her schedule.” Mind you, I wasn’t just requesting a last-minute Saturday appointment—I was specifically requesting Melody. More on her in a moment! As it happened, they already had a wedding party scheduled that same day, yet they still worked to accommodate us. Who does this anymore? Not long after, Jennifer let me know that Melody had agreed to stay late to fit me in. That alone would have been enough. But then Jennifer called again: they’d had a cancellation and could offer us an earlier appointment. We gladly took it. And then we walked through the doors. You step into another world—one where, for a little while, you feel completely removed from reality. It’s hard to imagine exactly what a “speakeasy spa” might be until you experience it. From the moment you enter, there’s no question that you’ve stepped into a mysterious little escape, tucked away from the rest of the world. The décor makes you feel like you’ve walked onto the set of a mystery novel. Okay, okay…back to the massage! Jennifer greeted us, and she was everything—and more—than what we had already experienced by phone and text. Warmth, joy, smiles—she’s all of it. We were introduced to our massage therapists, Melody and Mazik, and instantly knew we were in good hands—pun absolutely intended! What immediately stood out about these two was that they first established a sense of connection and trust. They took the time to understand what we wanted, what needed attention, and what we hoped to get from the experience. And then…off we went through the secret door. This wasn’t simply a massage. Stretching was incorporated into the experience as well, and the level of care and attention was exceptional. As someone who considers massage therapy a regular part of my life, I’ve experienced enough massages to know when someone is simply going through the motions—and when someone truly understands their craft. Melody and Mazik, without question, delivered exceptional treatment. And as if all of that weren’t enough, they paid attention to the reason we were there. Before we left, champagne was waiting for us in celebration of the occasion. That thoughtful touch was the perfect ending to an already incredible experience. If I could give them 10 stars, I would! While Jennifer, Melody, and Mazik were the people we interacted with most directly, even Felicity, another therapist, extended the same warmth to us before and after our appointments. That told me something important: the hospitality here isn’t limited to one person—it’s part of the culture. I will absolutely be scheduling again soon. If you’re looking for an amazing massage, a warm and trustworthy staff, exceptional customer service, and a genuinely unique experience, The Speakeasy Spa is your place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I wish I could give them 10 stars! If you’re in town or live here…….. it’s the most amazing experience that I had to come back and edit my post as it was vague….. OMG, from the moment I called, the entire experience was spectacular. We had just gotten into town, and they did everything they could to accommodate the three of us, even having therapists stay late so we could all get in. And the experience itself? AMAZING. The décor is beautiful, the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, and the massages were phenomenal. The three of us walked out feeling like rubber bands. 😂 What really impressed us was that each of our services was completely personalized to what we individually needed. Jenny, a HUGE thank you to you! Not only were you in constant contact making sure everything came together for us, but knowing we were visiting from out of town, you also gave us fantastic recommendations for places to go and things to see around Kansas City. That extra level of kindness and hospitality meant so much. No joke, my two friends travel through KC often and have already said they’re going back. And me? I’m seriously contemplating how I can arrange a future layover in Kansas City just so I can come back! Absolutely one of the highlights of our trip. If I could give Speakeasy Spa 10 stars, I would. ❤️

What a hidden gem! My husband and I enjoyed a couples massage, and the experience was incredible from start to finish. The moment we arrived, we knew this wasn't your typical spa. The entrance to the spa is hidden behind a bookcase, creating a true speakeasy experience that is both unique and fun. Walking through the secret door instantly set the tone for a relaxing escape and made the entire visit feel special. The atmosphere was peaceful, intimate, and beautifully designed. Our massage therapists, Melody and Maz were fantastic—professional, attentive, and highly skilled.
