We love this place so much we became members! It's so fun to.do the monthly scavenger hunts. We've been able to use our membership at reciprocal gardens out of state and had wonderful experiences.

Reviewers describe The Water Conservation Garden as a clean, educational facility featuring shaded trails, children's play areas, and dog-friendly access. Common themes include the value of monthly scavenger hunts, free admission on the second Friday of the month, and helpful volunteer staff. While many visitors praise the peaceful atmosphere and landscaping, a recurring criticism involves the $11 admission fee, with some reviewers stating the cost is high for the limited attractions offered.

Love going to the garden for yoga, special events, and landscaping classes.
We are here for the community! Thanks for reviewing us :)
Beautiful. Lots of shady areas.
Thank you for visiting us!!!
Highly recommend for all age groups. We stayed there longer than expected because the garden kept my 6 year old entertained for much longer than I expected. Next time we will pack a lunch! Super fun scavenger hunt. Garden is kept clean and tidy. Volunteers are kind.
Thank you for sharing your review :) We have so many fun changes for children coming soon!
My daughter got married here, it is a beautiful place.
congrats!
Charming garden! Well worth a visit here. Good HC ♿ parking and easy access throughout the gardens. Nice play areas for kids, too.
More fun changes coming soon!
this place was awesome!! great place for kids to let out their energy and explore. they have lots of shade, however it was 85 degrees already at 9:30 am
Oh yeah, heat in east county can be hot! Hopefully you were able to cool off in the water surprise :)
So much fun at The Water Conservation Garden in El Cajon! Great place to learn about San Diego’s water system and how to better use water to conserve. The plants are beautiful and well kept thanks to the strong volunteer community. Lots of kid friendly areas with play houses, sand pits and more. Nice gift shop as well. Dog friendly. It was $11 per adult. Recommend!
Hopefully you’ll become a member in the future! We have reciprocal admission with over 400 guards around the country. That’s includes local free admission to the Japanese friendship garden, and the San Diego botanical garden with your membership to our Garden!
A sweet botanical garden hidden at Cuyamaca College. Free parking, and cute children's garden.
