We worked with DJ Shaba and couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! He truly understood the atmosphere we wanted to create and did an incredible job setting the tone for the entire evening. The energy was exactly what we envisioned -- laid-back, fun, and effortlessly organic, while still keeping our guests engaged and the dance floor going. He was flexible, accommodating, and so easy to work with throughout the process. More than anything, he made sure to understand us as people and he just got the vibe we were going for and brought it to life. We're grateful he was part of making our wedding feel exactly the way we hoped it would. Couldn't recommend more!

This review is a bit late as my wife (Molly) and I were married 10/17/2026, however, I promise I remember it all very well thanks to DJ Shaba’s unforgettable work. His overall performance was nothing short of incredible. Andrew was punctual, polite, malleable and personable. From the start, he curated a “vibe” of what kind of music both myself and Molly love. Off of just a few songs from each of us, he created a night of music that kept everyone moving, dancing and happy. The best way I can describe how seamless the music felt is tied to an exact moment. After our first dance, and subsequent dancing in the following songs, we noted that her dress still needed to be bustled! She said to me “I want to fix it but I don’t want to leave the dance floor!”. We actually escorted her behind the bar with our wedding coordinator to quickly pitstop and bustle her dress and get her right back out and dancing as the next song started. Based off of multiple of our guests organically complimenting Andrew’s energy, song selection and efforts, I’d say everyone had that “don’t want to leave the dance floor” feel. It’s exactly what we wanted! He kept people in the moment, attentive to our family and friends for speeches and made sure people knew what was going on. All with grace and perfect timing. There’s so many ways to say it, he was amazing. He crushed it. It simply could not have been done better. On a technical note, we had an outdoor wedding with a rather remote ceremony, with approximately a half mile to our reception area. Andrew easily facilitated all the needs to make our wedding audio superb at both sites. Our ceremony even had a couple hiccups but he adapted and made sure all the music went as planned! DJ Shaba was amazing! He was really able to read the floor and has great music knowledge. He was also super helpful when the bride lost her bracelet, as he was able to go and find it. Thanks for a great night!

Abel was absolutely AMAZING! He is truly one of the best DJs we have ever experienced, and we could not have imagined our wedding without him. From the beginning, Abel understood exactly the energy we wanted for our night. Our black-and-white dance floor was packed all night long, which was one of the things that mattered most to us. He kept the energy going, read the room perfectly, and had everyone from our friends to our family out there dancing and having the best time. We have had so many guests tell us how much fun they had at our wedding, and Abel was such a huge part of that. The music, the energy, and the atmosphere were everything we hoped for and more. Seeing everyone we love together on that dance floor is one of our favorite memories from our wedding. Abel, thank you for making our night SO much fun and completely unforgettable. We cannot recommend Dax enough!! We found Dax on the recommended vendor list for our venue, the Coronado Cays Yacht Club in San Diego, and from start to finish, he delivered an exceptional experience. During the planning process, Dax set up multiple calls with us and went hour by hour through the wedding day to make sure every detail was perfect. He was incredibly organized, professional, and clearly cared about making our night everything we wanted it to be. On the day of the wedding, he showed up early to set up and ran the entire night flawlessly. He kept the energy going, read the crowd perfectly, and had everyone on the dance floor all night. Throughout the evening, our guests kept coming up to us to tell us how incredible the DJ was. We actually decided not to have an after-party and instead asked Dax to keep the party going at the venue because everyone was having such a great time! He absolutely did not disappoint. The dance floor was packed until the very end, and he truly helped make our wedding one of the most fun and memorable nights of our lives. We are so grateful to Dax and would recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing wedding DJ!

DJ Abel just gets it. The vibe, the dance floor, the set-up ... absolutely NO NOTES. We truly had the night of our lives and had SO many people come up to us (even weeks after) to complement DJ Abel and the energy he brought to our wedding. From our first meeting, we could tell that Abel was very thoughtful, and truly wanted to get it RIGHT. The platform he used (Vibo) to organize our playlists and timeline was super intuitive and easy to use. He also met with us a week before the wedding to discuss all of our requests like the must-plays, after party and irish exit announcements, how we wanted to be introduced, etc. He remembered everything for us and truly made all of our requests come true on the day of! On our wedding, I could tell he was SO excited for us and wanted everything to be perfect. He was even helping out on non-DJ-related things, and checking in on how we were feeling throughout the night (not in an annoying way!). He did an incredible job of keeping the energy up during cocktail hour and dinner, and was really an engaging and strong public speaker. The true HIGHLIGHT of our lives was the dance floor. The mixes and transitions Abel did for us were SO good. We had many different styles of music we wanted played from disco to punk rock to girly pop to hip hop, and he really made sure the night flowed. He did a great job keeping up with the energy of the crowd and reading the room. It was truly the best night we could have ever asked for, and we would book him again in a heartbeat (and tell all of our friends to!!).

Where do I begin with how amazing The Wedding Entertainment Collective and DJ Abel are?! if I could give a 10 out of 5 stars I absolutely would! We met DJ Abel at the San Diego bridal expo last year, where we got to talking about our wedding! Abel was willing to drive all the way up to Sequoia National Park, where we had our wedding, set up his equipment in the middle of nowhere, and throw the most epic wedding party of the century! We are still having guests tell us how epic that wedding was from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the dinner, to the awesome after party and dancing! It is a wedding I will never forget! Thank you so much again for being our DJ in creating the most magical experience for me and my husband!!! 🥰

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Brian (DJ 24Karat) for our wedding, and he was incredible. We could not imagine our wedding without Brian as our MC/DJ. All of our guests commented on how good our DJ was, and said something along the lines of "Your DJ was awesome" He sat down with us to learn more about our interests, our music taste and communicated with us throughout the build up. He was also more than willing to hop on calls when we needed. He gave suggestions on what he and his company can do, lighting, photo booth, etc. but did not pressure us into any sales. He ended up adding a few things because he made us feel like they were good for us, not for him/the company. Brian loves music. He has a deep passion, understanding and pure enjoyment for it. And you can tell from day 1, his excitement when talking about music is unmatched. I feel confident that whatever we were going to ask for Brian could deliver for us. It was honestly the #1 reason we picked him. We had talked to about 5 other DJs before Brian, people who had been in the industry for a long time, but none of them had the passion and energy he had. To them we felt like a transaction, to Brian we felt like a person. He was professional, courteous and kept the dance floor full all night long. If you get DJ 24Karat as your DJ, consider yourself blessed by the music gods themselves. Brian we love you, thank you for being our wedding DJ!

Had Dax as our Dj for our big day! Everything was seamless from the beginning, check-ins leading up to go time, making it simple for us to put our playlists and music for the events of the night through their app and making us feel included in the process. Even going above and beyond by displaying a picture of me and my wife on his Dj set up! and for me it’s small touches like that that make things wonderful and that much more special. They have more than fair pricing and their quality of service is top tier, book these guys for your events, you won’t regret it!
