In today's world, its extremely difficult to find services, company's and people that TRULY care about thier work quality and reputation. I found one! THE YARD EXPERTS.... From the initial meeting with Kyle on design ideas and concepts We knew there was something different. He was extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of the job from plant materials to the block walls, engineering and irrigation. When the TEAM showed up to start the project, they were ON TIME!!! something rare in today's landscaping business. Brian and the TEAM were extremely particular in every aspect from plant and rock placement to final clean-up. we could not be happier with our new backyard and have hired them on a weekly basis to maintain everything they built! We are looking forward to enjoying our beautiful space for many years to come. To everyone who was involved THANK YOU!!!!

I hate posting this, but this company leaves me no choice. Years ago, they could be trusted, but no more. Avoid The Yard Experts if you want ethical service and a clear price. The quoted price changed based on the day and who I spoke to - that should have been my first red flag. The invoice has a tiny line about terms and conditions - PAY ATTENTION TO THAT. The supposed Ts and Cs (snapshot included) explain literally nothing about the way they gouge their customers with the term "man hours" - which means whatever they want it to. Every normal person would look at this quote and think it's 3 people each working for 1 hour. Despite being at my home for less than 60 minutes (which they confirmed), they charged more than 3 "man hours." The price went up by $22.40 over the estimate, with no email, no text, no itemized invoice. Worse yet, I received 6 harassing phone calls within 24 hours of service, interrupting my work day (from multiple phone numbers) about, and I quote: "an urgent account matter." The office worker was completely incompetent and spoke in circles trying to justify their pricing. No human decency, no clarity, only excuses and jargon. I paid the remaining amount due from the original quote promptly, yet they still (despite not having an authorized card on file) charged it again for the difference. To this day, I never received a proper invoice. It's incredibly shady. On top of everything, they left debris in my neighbor's yard . . . despite texts confirming they would come back and clean it up, I had to do that myself. Oh, and they don't do any military discounts, so don't bother asking. It's such a shame to see greed win out over being a reputable business. UPDATE: as you'll see from their very own response, they fail to explicitly define man-hours (3 people working for less than 1 hour each can't be more than 3 hours of charges in any realm of math), they admit to NOT providing a final invoice until AFTER they've already charged my card, and they take ZERO accountability in having above-board business practices. As for the reference to 2021 services, I checked my records and Edgar always made sure that everything was documented, clearly communicated, and accurate. Whatever is happening at The Yard Experts now, it's none of those things. Such a shame.

Great and prompt communication. The work done was as expected, no issues. Took a little longer than the estimate, but still under our other quotes. We will definitely use The Yard Experts again! This was a general yard cleanup on a 1/2 acre. Lots of debris that's been collecting for a few years.

I was in a bind and needed some yard work done on short notice. Every step, from start to after finish, was courteous and professional. The crew did a great job cleaning what needed to be cleaned and the customer service in helping me get it done in such a time crunch was stellar. 5/5 for sure.

The Yard Experts were very professional and great to work with. They helped us transform our front yard from a basic desert landscape to a property to be proud of; by using high quality artificial turf, boulders, border stone, pathway plants and shrubs. They listened to our ideas, offered options and made suggestions to ensure compliance with our strict HOA requirements. The work crew was prompt, polite, and professional. Even while working in 110’ + temperatures; they took the time at the end of each day to clean up and hose down the property. We highly recommend The Yard Experts!

Everything was wonderful at first, very quick to call me to set up an appointment to discuss the estimate. Everyone was friendly and sounded professional. I needed my front yard taken care of and I have already trimmed half the bushes and just needed someone to come out and trim the other half and get rid of weeds. I didn't even ask for the trees to be touched. During my phone call appointment I was told the project is estimated for 3.50 man hours and they charge $70/hr. I brought up that I don't think my yard is going to take 3.5 hours to fix up as I already did half the work and the gentleman on the phone let me know that if it doesn't take the team 3.5 hours to do it then I'm charged less. If it takes them longer then I'm charged more. Makes sense to me and I agreed to the terms for a total of $280 ($35 flat fee for disposal) because I believed my yard would not take that long. You have to pay half up front before the job ($140). Sure enough it took the team less than 1.5 hours to complete the yard. Imagine my surprise when I'm charged an additional $199.50 so now totalling $339.50 I called to discuss this increase and the women on the phone explained they have their own calculations on how they calculate "man hour" and it's not actually based on an hour. No where on the contract does it break down "their calculation". At no time did the man giving me the estimate discuss that it's not actually based on the time it takes them to complete the project but instead their own construct of time. The women on the phone kept bringing me back to the contract saying that I agreed to it because right on there it says they charge in man hour. My point is that they are not upfront with the actual calculation of the charge and do not tell you about how this "man hour" is actually calculated until after the fact. I'm waiting for a return call to discuss this further but wanted to warn anyone looking into getting their yard cleaned up that they are not honest about the pricing. Update: I received a call back from Ivan the same day and he was very professional and understanding in the situation. He apologized as the sales rep who talked to me should have said this estimate was for 1 hour of work not 3.5 hours. Letting me know this cleared up all the confusion but I also would have never gone with this company as they are outside my budget even for only 1 hour of work. Ivan was understanding and able to provide a partial refund of $94.50. Still over my price range but it does help me out. Moral of the story: even if you verbally clarify how long they anticipate the job to get done, ask if you're being quoted for 1 hour of work. The job the workers did was great but I had already trimmed half the bushes and they did leave a few weeds behind. Over all I changed my review from a 1 star to 3 stars.
