First off - the feeling when you walk into THIS is thee best . You immediately feel welcomed and are greeted with the friendliest faces and uplifting energy! I’ve been coming here for over a year and have still received that same energy each time. Phoebe is amazing , she knows what I like and always out does herself ! She’s efficient , personal , and makes you feel so comfortable and confident. Her assistants are awesome as well! Sometimes I do have to bring my daughter and it has never been an issue and she always makes her feel so special! Mind you - there was a time my daughter decided to pretend her comb was a curling iron! So we had an SOS situation and Phoebe literally said “ bring her in now” and when we arrived her and her team of available people jumped in and helped get it out without having to cut her hair ! Made me so emotional how willing these amazing humans were and the patience they had with her in such a scary time for her as she was sink nervous they were going to have to cut her hair . Love you all forever ! So grateful for THIS!

When I opened THIS. Creative Space in Downtown Vacaville, California, I didn’t want to create just another hair salon. After 15 years specializing in custom blonding, balayage, lived-in color, grey blending, haircuts and major hair transformations, I wanted to build a space where beautiful hair and caring for people went hand in hand.
I wanted a luxury hair salon in Vacaville that felt warm, modern, energetic, relaxing and comfortable. A place where you’re greeted with kindness, where your stylist knows you, where your time matters and where every person who walks in feels like they belong. Not just a salon. A creative space. A community.
And Kim, you described exactly what I’ve spent years working to create!
I always say luxury isn’t just about how beautiful your hair looks when you leave. Luxury is how we make you feel while you’re here. It’s listening to what you want, creating customized hair color that works for your lifestyle, and respecting the time you choose to spend in our chairs.
As a hairstylist and salon owner, I know how busy life gets for working women and moms. That’s why I’ve spent years refining my blonding techniques, building efficient systems and working alongside my assistants to deliver beautiful, lasting hair without making clients spend their whole day at the salon. When you told me she had gotten her comb tangled in her hair pretending it was a curling iron, my answer was simple: BRING HER IN NOW! We were going to figure it out together. Watching our team jump in, work patiently and help get that comb out without cutting her hair is one of those moments that reminds me why THIS matters.
She was scared. You were worried. And none of us saw an inconvenience. We saw a little girl who needed help and a mom who trusted us. That’s what a salon family should be. I want every child who comes into THIS. Creative Space to feel safe, special and welcome, and I want every parent to know they’re surrounded by people who care.
Being a hairstylist is so much more than doing hair. We get to be part of birthdays, weddings, big changes, everyday routines and sometimes the little emergencies that become memories forever. The relationships are why we show up.
I’m especially grateful you recognized my assistants. They work so hard, and I couldn’t be prouder of the independent hairstylists, colorists, blonde specialists and assistants who make our Downtown Vacaville salon what it is. We believe in education, teamwork, kindness and supporting one another. No one person creates the feeling you described. It takes a whole team choosing to care every single day.
I want THIS. Creative Space to be known for exceptional custom blonding, balayage, grey blending, dimensional hair color, haircuts and an incredible luxury salon experience in Vacaville.
