We cannot recommend Thompson Catering enough! Mike Thompson is absolutely amazing and made our wedding dinner everything we could have hoped for. We had a plated dinner, and everything was delicious and beautifully done. Mike and his team went above and beyond to accommodate every little request I had, from washing dishes to saving the top of our wedding cake. They truly cared about every detail and made the entire process feel so easy and stress-free. We also had so much fun at our tasting! It was such a great experience and made us even more excited to work with them for our wedding. Mike was wonderful to work with from start to finish, and his team helped make our wedding day so special. If you are looking for a caterer who genuinely cares about their couples, pays attention to every detail, and delivers an amazing experience, look no further than Thompson Catering. Food was mediocre at best and we received many complaints from our guests that the wait staff was unpleasant. It’s unfortunate because it was the kickoff to my son’s wedding weekend. It was also expensive for the quality of the food. It’s tough when you don’t live in town and have to rely on other google reviews. Not at all what I hoped for.
Great service! Very nice people to work with. They were a one stop shop. They had the tent, chairs, tables and tablecloths we needed. They prepared and served the food. They made the day so much easier for us. Highly recommend using them for all your event needs.

The food was amazing !! We purchased food catering for 65, from the drop and go menu for our wedding. It was absolutely delicious, the chicken and potato salad were such a big hit with the guests, as well as myself and husband! I was snacking on the potato salad all night long. Very professional business, clearly experienced and overall just very easy to work with. Everyone I spoke with on the phone and spoke with via email was very kind. Their prices are also GREAT and really Hard to beat!! If I had to redo our wedding, I wouldn’t change a thing about the food catering and would choose Thompson Catering again.
Thompson Catering provided food for our wedding in September 2025. They were amazing to work with from the start. We had several special dietary requests and they were very accommodating. Mike was willing to answer any of our questions and did so in a timely manner. Their staff was very friendly on the day of the wedding and even checked in with us to see if we wanted more to eat. Best of all, the guests raved about meal! We would 100% recommend Thompson Catering to anyone having a special event in the Central Kentucky area.

Thompson catering, catered our daughter’s wedding. Everything was absolutely fabulous from our tasting all the way through the wedding. Mike worked with us to give us exactly what we wanted. The food at the wedding was absolutely amazing and we had so many compliments from our guests. The Mac and cheese was some of the best I have ever eaten. The staff at the wedding were very friendly, professional and presented themselves very well. Rachelle, one of the staff was absolutely the sweetest most kind person ever. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. After everyone was served and we had tons of food left, the staff fixed a plate for all the other wedding workers. What an amazing and kind gesture. We could not have been more pleased and will use them for all our catering needs!
