Customers frequently praise the company for its punctuality, professional communication, and thorough cleanup after tree removal, trimming, and stump grinding services. Positive reviews often highlight fair pricing and the crew's efficiency in handling hazardous or storm-damaged trees. However, several low-star reviews indicate a pattern of missed appointments and unreturned communications, with some customers reporting that the company failed to complete contracted work or finish stump removals.

Great company and people to work with. Highly recommended!
Thank you so much for your review, Nolan! We are so glad you enjoyed your experience with us.
Timbermen Tree Service is an example of a great small business! Their husband/wife team of owners/work supervisor and office manager are knowledgeable, personable, patient and honest. Their on site work crew is hard working, expert and safety conscious as well. They cleaned up a long neglected farm house yard area beautifully - everything from stump removal and grinding to removing a hazardous, partially broken pine and pruning and/or trimming trees into good shape. The property hasn’t looked this good in 30 years! Their prices are quite fair but their work is outstanding. They will be the only service I’ll use and recommend in Northern Illinois.
Thanks Jennifer, Clint and crew!
Karen Parson, Kirkland, Illinois
Hi Karen, thank you for the kind words about our company and the service you received! Our team loved helping you out this week.
I would not recommend this company to anyone on the east side of Rockford. Well, because of being so prejudice, this is the only area they serve. They refuse to service the West side of Rockford. I called to have a big overgrown, huge size bush in my sons backyard. My son's house is located on the West. side. A one story. All brick home, detached brick garage. Very neatly manicured lawn, very well kept. The whole block. The whole neighborhood is very nice. But because of the address. And because of their bias, they refused to even come and do a service on my property. We don't service that area. Their bias is quite obvious, these people who even refuse to do a service. Just because of the address. I find that very unprofessional. Very rude. Unprofessional and bias, to be honest with you. They have no place in Rockford IL doing any sort of business.
Unbelievable! We are located in Rochelle Illinois! We do not service Rockford! I kindly explained this to you twice even after you were rude to me and accused me of being prejudice. Prejudice of what? Having a business plan and sticking to it?!
Timbermen came out and gave us a great quote. They came the next day and trimmed the tree. Everything was cleaned up and looked like they had never been there. Great family owned business!
Thank you so much for your kind review!
Would highly recommend to anyone in need of their services, very friendly/professional. Came for the estimate at earlier time than stated and took care of all my needs very quickly and fair priced.

The new owner of Timberman Tree Service has turned this company into a five star operation. From the owner down all are very professional and easy to work with.
Thank you for your kind review!
I had a large oak tree drop a limb unexpectedly, and when I looked closer, I discovered the tree was hollow inside—definitely a hazard. I called this tree service, and they showed up promptly, gave me a fair price, and got the job done exactly as I expected. They were professional, efficient, and easy to work with.
Thank you for your 5 star review!
Clint and his team were outstanding! They worked quickly, with respect, and very professional!! They were great from start to cleanup. I highly recommend them.
Thank you so much for your review!
These guys were terrific! We had 3 trees taken down and stumps ground; it took them less than an hour, cleanup included. Very professional and an impressive job.
Thank you so much for the kind review!
