Because of the great outcomes I have experienced in the therapy programs and goals they set for me, I have total confidence in the expertise of the physical therapists at Total Recovery in Little Falls. They are all so positive, encouraging and spot on with understanding what each patient needs. Three years ago I regained total hip strength and avoided hip surgery as a result of the therapy I received there. Currently I am making progress with vestibular and balance issues and building strength to avoid falling. I recommend Total Recovery to all my friends and family.

WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME!
I have had very good experiences with TRPT. I'm an age-71 Senior Olympics power walker who recently developed significant bursitis-like left hip pain. I will include a detailed explanation in case anyone reading this review is experiencing something similar.
The pain only occurs when standing up from a seated position or straightening up after bending over, such as after tying a shoelace or after washing-drying my feet. Picking up anything off of the floor can be troublesome. Sometimes leaning toward the sink activates some discomfort. The pain usually lingers until I'm able to settle into a recliner or bed which allows a greater than 90-degree open hip angle, and then the pain disappears as soon as I'm off my feet. When I'm feeling no pain (which is only after standing up from bed or a recliner, but not always), I'm able to power walk as well as ever, as if nothing is wrong. But sitting in a chair or car seat (hip angle less than 90 degrees) is a down payment on significant pain when thereafter standing up. Quite the mystery.
My orthopedist examined me and his analysis indicated a possible labrum tear. The X-rays did not show any arthritis or injury. He wrote a prescription for Physical Therapy (PT) as an initial solution, and then advised an MRI if the PT is not successful. TRPT was then recommended by my brother-in-law Gene who is here at TRPT for his PT, so here I am twice a week since August.
Upon arriving at TRPT, I always immediately feel welcome and comfortable. The front desk greets me without fail, as do the various therapists throughout the therapy room, even if they are not specifically assigned to me for that day. It's like Cheers: where everybody knows your name.
My appointments have always been punctual, and the entire organization seems very organized, right down to their text appointment reminders. As a meticulous CPA (retired), I appreciate that.
I have had very good experiences with every therapist with whom I've interacted so far, and I hope I don't omit any names (if so, I'll make a future edit): Peter, Mark, Martin, June, Mesh, Josh, Melvin, Robert, and Lily. All of them are professional, supportive, knowledgeable, alert to ensure that I am performing the customized-for-me exercises correctly, and display a genuine interest in my progress. I have learned new exercises that will improve my power walking performances once I become pain-free again.
What was especially impressive is that Peter suggested a solution to a condition that does not involve my hip. I have had pain-free, non-diabetic foot neuropathy for 20 years and have been told by my neurologist that since it is idiopathic (from an unknown cause), there is really nothing specific that can be done about it. But after casually mentioning my neuropathy during a hip session, Peter took immediate interest and recommended TRPT'S Neubie machine. After using it for the first time, I elatedly felt like I was more aware of my feet. I am currently looking forward to what I hope will be continuing tactile improvement regarding this situation that had always been hopeless.
Once my hip pain has been completely resolved (optimistically) by TRPT, I'll update this review and shout the blissful news from a mountaintop.

Total recovery is my go-to PT provider for my acute activity related injuries. The entire staff from front of house patient care coordinators, physical therapy aides, acupuncturists, and most of all physical therapists and assistants. I've received care from the entire staff and they are all excellent. Thorough assessment, challenging exercise routines, and premium manual therapy accompanied by state of the art modalities that accelerate the healing process. What stands out the most is the PTs collaborative effort with each of them bringing a specific yet unique approach to the rehabilitation process. Upon discharge you should expect to be stronger than before your injury.

Through years of wear and tear and working out frequently, I started to feel the toll it was taking on my body. Physical therapy has been incredible in supporting me as I continue to stay active. They’ve helped me keep up with my workouts while feeling stronger, moving more mindfully, and becoming more aware of how my body moves and functions.
Acupuncture, has been amazing to experience. It’s incredible to see how interconnected the body really is and how addressing one area can make a difference elsewhere. I’ve been amazed by how much it can help me feel better and support my overall well-being.
I’m so grateful to have found a combination of treatments that allows me to continue doing what I love while taking better care of my body!

This review is long overdue. I've been coming here since they first opened years ago and I won't go anywhere else for i jury or surgery rehab. They've helped fix my knees and shoulders, after bad injuries and in some cases surgery. They're super professional and shockingly punctual, which is rare. And the staff is the absolute best. Ive only ever gotten good vibes from everyone that works here. Highly recommend!!!
