We had an excellent experience with Mia and Traction the homeschool program. What we really what I liked about it was that there was consistency and that she led the majority of the work. We saw some really great results in continuing to improve our puppies' manners, continued off-leash work, and patio etiquette.…
Scott is awesome and super knowledgeable!
We booked the homeschool program for our two dogs, 8yr old Benji and our puppy Bruin. Our trainer Mia was amazing, very knowledgeable and listened to all of our concerns! Our biggest issues with both dogs were leash pulling, constant barking at other dogs and just basic obedience. In just 3 weeks, Mia completely…
We are beyond grateful for KT. Her patience, extensive experience, and genuine love for dogs made her an easy choice for both us and our puppy, Mabel. The training progress has been incredible, everything Mabel has learned she’s retained, and KT gave us the education to put our puppy’s new training to use. I…
We did the 3 weeks homeschooled program for our adopted 2.5 year old Golden Retriever who was struggling with walking/leash reactivity and sporadic aggression around other dogs in group settings. We also wanted recall training and some other basics reinforcement (sit, down, etc.) It was super easy to get started…
Working with both Mara and Mia has been great! We adopted our pittie mix, Charley, in early 2026 and have seen such great progress. He was basically feral in the beginning (was a stray only had been in the shelter for a few weeks) so he was very chaotic and wild (climbing on furniture, pulling constantly, lunging on…
Mia was amazing with my dogs Alvin and Sydney. Before Mia, they couldn't walk, jumped on people at the door, and rarely listened to me. Afterwards, they were the complete opposite, without losing their personalities. They are much better dogs and companions, and I feel so much better about the quality of their lives!
We would give a million stars if we could!! Mara and Ashley did an amazing job training our 1.5 year old pup, Bandit. He can be a very overly excitable and anxious boy, which turned into a lot of leash pulling, jumping on people, defying commands, etc. We worked with a dog trainer previously but did not have the…
Traction DTC are lifesavers! My partner and I adopted Molly from a local Austin shelter and, sadly, the information we were given about her was woefully inaccurate. Upon getting home, she was extremely dog and people reactive, and even the shortest of walks and time spent in our small yard were very stressful…
We worked with Mara and Mia to help train our 10-month-old golden retriever puppy, and the experience was fantastic. Before hiring them, we were feeling really frustrated with our dog’s behavior and honestly didn’t feel like we were in control of the situation at all. The Traction team truly transformed our dog…
Mara truly is amazing!! She took our stubborn 115 lb Bernese Mountain Dog and turned him into a perfectly obedient off-leash trained pup! She helped us meet all of our training goals in less than 4 weeks. She truly works magic. We cannot recommend her enough.
We had the best experience in Loba’s tutoring program with Mara and Mia! Before starting, Loba struggled with reactivity, which made walks and navigating our apartment complex very stressful. She would bark or growl at other dogs and even at people. By the third week of the program, her reactivity was almost…
I cannot ever state enough how grateful I am for Traction Dog Training Club. My anxious and reactive corso could not go for walks and we couldn’t have company over prior to the three-week home school program. We learned the skills we needed to be strong leaders and how to understand his needs. Three-weeks later, my…
Working with Mia was such a pleasure. Her calm, and knowledgeable presence put us at ease no matter the situation we were working on with our dog. She explained not only the training, but the 'why' behind what we were working on which helped us understand tings from our dog's perspective, which was really helpful.…
We enrolled our dog, Rex, in the Homeschool program to help with his leash aggression in our apartment complex and when walking in busy places. Mara went above and beyond and not only corrected Rex’s behaviors, but she helped us to understand what to do as well. Rex is now walking like the god boy he is and is so…
I honestly can’t say enough good things about Mia. From the very first session, she’s brought so much heart, skill, and intentionality into training my dog, Ruthie, as a psychiatric service dog for my practice. This whole journey has been really meaningful for me, and having Mia alongside us has made all the…
