While my dog Neo and I have now done 8 training sessions with Eddie, it took only one session for me to begin to comprehend the incredible value that Eddie’s deep understanding of dogs would bring to our lives. As someone who grew up with cats, there were many times I felt baffled by the new challenges that came with owning my first dog. I tried figuring things out on my own for years, reading books, watching YouTube videos, you name it. While I did make some minimal progress, things didn’t really click into place until we started working with Eddie. I can honestly say I made more progress in one session working with Eddie than I made over years trying to DIY things. Eddie taught me how to greatly improve Neo’s obedience, but he also taught me how to better see the world through my dog’s eyes and build a stronger relationship with him.
While I want to emphasize Eddie’s incredible competence as a trainer, I feel I’d be doing him a disservice if I didn’t also emphasize how he interacts with his human clients. By the time I met Eddie, I was starting to feel pretty self-conscious about my abilities as a dog trainer. Throughout this entire process, Eddie has not once ever made me feel foolish or incompetent, and when I made mistakes, he always met me with compassion and helpful insights. His ability to meet people where they’re at is a foundational part of the training process; I’ve never hesitated to open up to him about my difficulties out of fear he would judge me dumb or incompetent.
Eddie had fundamentally changed how I understand and interact with dogs, and I will carry the lessons I’ve learned from him for the rest of my life. He literally swooped in like a master translator, and I see the benefits of his influence every day. I honestly can’t think of anything else I’ve spent money on where I can see such clear and direct benefits. It’s the best money I’ve ever spent and I truly cannot recommend Eddie enough.
P.S. Here’s Neo waiting on his cot while we cook/eat breakfast, like Eddie taught us! 💕

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Triumph K9. They have been absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. The communication alone has been incredible, we’ve never felt like we were left guessing about what our dog was learning, why they were doing something a certain way or what we should be doing at home to continue his progress.
The best part is how knowledgeable and passionate they are. They don’t just tell you what to do; they take the time to explain why it works and are genuinely excited to share their knowledge with you. You can tell immediately that this isn’t just a job for them. They truly care about the dogs they work with AND about teaching the owners how to be successful once their dog comes home.
Our dog has made incredible progress. We’re now able to take him into increasingly busy environments, work through distractions, practice structured walks and recalls and actually enjoy working with him. Even after training, whenever we’ve had a question or hit a snag at home, they’ve been incredibly responsive and have given us detailed, practical advice on exactly how to work through it.
If you’re considering working with Triumph K9, DO IT. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone. We are beyond happy with our experience and so grateful for everything they’ve done for us and our dog.

Our puppy truly excelled through Triumph K9! The absolute best part of our 12 sessions was learning how to handle him myself. Your dog picks up on your exact cues, and Eddie excels at helping the human/dog relationship develop by teaching you how to be a confident leader. Many people worry that setting boundaries will ruin their relationship with their dog, but it actually improves it! Dogs are looking for confident leadership, and that is exactly what Eddie instilled in me. One of the greatest lessons he taught me is that a calm handler makes for a calm dog—they mirror your energy completely. Start every lesson with a calm dog and work by taking things step by step.
Eddie helps you understand that dogs are matter-of-fact: you teach them, practice consistently, and hold them accountable. You truly get out of training what you put into it.
Eddie uses balanced training methods, and his insights are completely invaluable. He is incredibly skilled at evaluating human handling and teaching you how to be better. During our sessions, some of the most important things he taught us were:
How to properly use leash pressure when needed to guide and control our puppy.
How to build genuine engagement so our puppy chooses to focus on us over distractions.
How to perfect the recall so he comes back reliably every time.
How to titrate your training. Your dog may master a skill in a given environment but may need more direction in a new setting with increased distractions. Training is ongoing.
We are currently working to finish preparing him for his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test, and thanks to Eddie, I feel more than confident in exactly how to get him ready for it.
Eddie is also the ultimate professional. He was always deeply respectful of our time—always arriving right on schedule and confirming every single meeting on the morning of. He is also always available by text and phone for ongoing support.
Beyond his incredible skill, Eddie is incredibly warm and approachable. By the end of our 12 weeks, our puppy completely knew who "Uncle Eddie" was and was always so excited to see him.
The real-world proof of his training is everywhere. Our puppy has incredible impulse control; he can maintain a down-stay across different places and environments while I drop treats 10 feet away, and he won't budge until his release cue. He stopped reacting to other dogs and people entirely. His door manners are flawless—he sits, makes eye contact, and waits for his "free" cue before taking a single step. I can even bounce his favorite toys right in front of him and he won't break position. We can't recommend Eddie and Triumph K9 enough! Thank you so much, Eddie!

We recently used Triumph K9 board-and-train program for our 3-month-old Cane Corso puppy, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, communication was excellent. They were always responsive, kept us updated, and made us feel completely comfortable leaving our puppy in their care.
What stood out most was how much they genuinely cared for our dog. It was clear that they treated her like one of their own, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. We had the most amazing experience with Eddie and Shannon, I spoke with her on the phone to discuss a consultation and felt very at ease with meeting them to discuss obedience training.
As new dog owners we didn't have much confidence in what we were doing, but knew we wanted a companion we were comfortable taking places with us. Eddie has made it very easy to understand the concept behind why we do what we do during training which, which has helped us feel confident that we could train her for most situations. He was able to help us move through some reactivity at the dog park as well as working on other public situations to ensure that we had the tools to bring her along with us to stores that allow pets and friends' houses without worry!
We would 💯 book with them again if we felt we wanted to press in further into more skills and work with our girl!

My wife and I recently rescued a Dutch Shepherd (Max) and needed guidance with how to give structure and training to a working breed dog. Triumph K9 was highly recommended to me by a former police K9 handler. We reached out and Eddie and Shannon were incredibly thorough answering our questions and outlining our training goals.
We opted for the 4 week board and train program. Throughout the entire process we received daily status updates as well as pictures and videos of Max during his training. Each video was accompanied by highly detailed instructions regarding the command Max was learning as well as the context on when to apply different training cues.
Upon Max’s return we immediately noticed his improvement. He had a solid grasp of all his commands as well as great house manners. His progress was impressive to say the least, and with this solid foundation to build on, Max has been thriving at home.
