My son's tutor, Giovanna, has been a real blessing to our family. She works with my senior once a week. One day a week she and my son work on geometry. My son has shown significant improvement in his understanding of math. The combination of a strong math teacher and a dedicated tutor has resulted in strong learning gains in math this year. We are also working with Connor on both math and chemistry. My junior cannot say enough complimentary things about Connor's teaching ability. With the support of Giovanna and Connor, my senior is doing fine in AP pre-calculus. My junior is doing well in the demanding classes in international baccalaureate math and environmental science at Sandia Public High School. I am confident that working with tutor doc has dramatically improved my chidlrens' grades and their learning in high school.

She really had a complete transformation with math working with Carol. My daughter went from not understanding in Algebra I to total clarity. She got an A+ on her final exam her Junior year. Having this kind of support in high school was so worth it. She became the one in class that other students went to for help. We couldn't be happier with Tutor Doctor! Alec has been an excellent tutor for Abel, and we have been very impressed with him from the start. He is patient, consistent, and has a great way of figuring out when Abel understands something versus when he needs it explained a different way. I especially appreciate that Alec does not get frustrated when something takes extra time. He simply adjusts, finds another way to explain it, and keeps moving forward. He makes the sessions productive without making them feel overly rigid, and Abel has made a tremendous amount of progress working with him. Alec is also extremely dependable. Tutor Doctor is truly exceptional! We specifically work with Alec. We feel incredibly lucky to have found him for Abel. We love how he incorporates not only what they are working on together during tutoring sessions, but also takes the time to ask Abel what he is learning in math at school and brings those concepts into their work as well. It makes his tutoring feel incredibly thoughtful, relevant, and well-rounded. He has such a natural ability to keep Abel focused, engaged, and moving forward while still making him feel comfortable and encouraged. He explains things in a way that Abel can understand, and every single week we can see real, meaningful progress. Alec also incorporates some executive functioning skills along the way, which we really appreciate. He seems to know exactly how much to push without overwhelming Abel, and the homework he gives is always just the right amount to reinforce what they have worked on. We enrolled our 11 year old daughter in Math tutoring services with The Tutor Doctor over the summer to prepare her for entrance into a private school with a very strong math program. Not only did they catch her up to speed and prepare her for 6th grade math, the tutor Gavin went over and beyond to communicate with her teacher and give her input as to how she learns best and what are the things she struggles with when learning new subject matter. Gavin increased our daughter's confidence in herself and taught her not to be afraid of new concepts in Math. Highly recommend the Tutor Doctor for tutoring.

My son has done SAT prep with Alec over the summer and Alec has helped him improve his scores significantly! He connects well with our son and somehow gets him to do what others can't.

I did it!! Thanks to Daphne from Tutor Doctor, I am now on track to getting my masters degree. Through so many challenges and setbacks, I finally made it to the finish line! Daphne is an incredible Tutor, with her help, I was able to plow through the most difficult classes.
