Can't say enough good things about Tzu Chi! The leadership and teachers create such a warm, caring environment for the kids. The teachers are incredibly kind, thoughtful, and caring, and it’s clear how much they genuinely love and care for each child. The values they instill—kindness, empathy, generosity, compassion, and a willingness to help others—will stay with our children for a lifetime. We truly believe these are the foundations that will help them grow into thoughtful, caring individuals and, in their own way, make the world a better place.
We are so thankful to Tzu Chi and all of the amazing teachers who have been part of our children’s journey! ❤️

Even though we live in the northern part of Plano, we have sent three children to this preschool and will happily send our fourth when he is ready. Some highlights include:
1) Teachers are kind and compassionate. They will gladly chat with you about your child’s day.
2) Classrooms maintain the same teachers throughout the whole school year, allowing the teachers to get to know the students very well. Very little turnover over the past several years that we have been there.
3) Each classroom has two dedicated teachers, one the primary English teacher and one the primary Mandarin teacher. The ratio of student to teacher is typically lower than other preschools.
4) Lunch (healthy, good mix of Western and Asian crowd pleasers) and snacks included.
5) Ms. Lin, the director, is super involved in the everyday running of the school. She knows each student very well. She is always so cheerful.
6) The school focuses on character development along with academics. The children learn about the importance of recycling, helping others, and taking care of nature.
Overall—highly recommended.

I love the values that they teach which include love and respect for all, environmentalism, and manners. The teachers are very caring. They provide vegetarian lunch and snacks that my kid loves! And they speak Mandarin 50% of the time (if not more which is why most of us are here so that’s a plus!) Good vibes all around.

We are so grateful to have found this preschool. They have taken care of our family since 2021 and we have been extremely pleased. Our 1st born started in 2021 and our 2nd born started this summer. The staff are wonderful and very patient. Our 2nd born had a "hitting" problem at first and the teachers have really been great about addressing this issue. She no longer hits and has improved her attention span. She has even started helping out around the house by putting away her dirty dishes. They teach responsibility in a effective and gentle way. The food provided is healthy and the bilingual education has been priceless. Don't worry, English will not be a issue at all once they start elementary school! We recommend Tzu Chi to all parents, they have been amazing!

We entrusted both of our children to Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool. We had tried other pre-schools in the DFW area with fairly well-known brands, that supposedly had "proven curriculums". As far as we could tell they didn't live up to marketing, and our kids were always coming home with runny noses, coughs, and on a few occasions, bite marks! At first, we were a bit hesitant to send our kids to Tzu Chi as we didn't know much about it. But what we found was much more a case of substance over hype.
In joining Tzu Chi we didn't just find a preschool, we found a community. Both the teachers and the parents were all incredibly open and welcoming. Yes, it is bilingual Chinese and English, but people of all backgrounds are welcome and can benefit from their care. They celebrate all the major US holidays and traditions, and the children's ceremonies bring everyone together with such joy.
The school emphasizes universal principles of gratitude, respect and love as well as care for the environment which we love. This is their actual mission, not a slogan. Unlike other preschools with constant teacher turnover, we found dedicated caregivers who've been working with children for many years. The children work in rotating group stations which helps ensure focus and learning (and less mess and germs!). One day they're learning the alphabet, the next they're learning to grow plants or bake bread from scratch, or one of many other lifelong lessons we were constantly surprised by. But of course, there's also group time and playtime which we know are essential to their development. Meals are balanced and nutritious, they have an actual kitchen and staff who prepare meals from scratch. By the time our children were embarking for kindergarten, we felt confident they were well-rounded and well-prepared.
We definitely recommend Tzu Chi to any parent who wants a better experience!

We attended Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool for four years, and I truly cannot recommend it enough! Having experienced the school with multiple children and teachers, we’ve been consistently impressed.
The teachers and director are incredibly caring, attentive, and responsive. Communication is solid, with weekly lesson plans, event updates, regular parent-teacher conferences, and a willingness to discuss anything anytime. Our kids genuinely look forward to school, and our oldest still loves visiting her former teachers to say hello. Did I bawl at my oldest’s preschool graduation? Why yes, I did. It was incredibly thoughtful, sweet, and special.
We especially love the bilingual Mandarin-English curriculum. Our children’s Mandarin improved by leaps and bounds, while the curriculum also emphasizes respect, kindness, helping others, and independence. The special activities—like visits from police officers and librarians and school performances—make learning engaging and meaningful.
The school is clean and cozy, and the lunch is nutritious and delicious (our kids rave about the tofu rice and noodles!). As working parents, we also really appreciate the supportive school hours and holiday schedule.
Our oldest was extremely well prepared for kindergarten academically, socially, and emotionally. Our continued choice of Tzu Chi probably says it all! We feel so lucky to have found this school and wholeheartedly recommend it!!

I have had 2 children attend Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool, and I would recommend it for any parents. The curriculum is bilingual (English and Chinese), but it is approachable for those who are not native speakers. The teachers all care so much about the children and teach great lessons both academically and socially. There is an emphasis on saving the environment as well as helping those in need around the world. There is also a blend of Chinese and American traditions/holidays that are taught and celebrated at school.
Additionally meals (which my kids loved) are included with tuition, adding even more value.
Overall my children have benefited so much from attending this school and I would recommend it to any/all parents in the Dallas area.

I would definitely recommend Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool to families looking for a caring and structured bilingual learning environment.
My daughter has been attending the school for quite some time, and one of the things I appreciate most is how well the teachers know each child. They pay attention not only to academics, but also to the children’s behavior, manners, independence, and relationships with others. The teachers genuinely care about the children while also having clear expectations for them.
I also really value the Chinese language environment. It has given my daughter a natural opportunity to use and learn Chinese as part of her everyday life, rather than treating it as just another subject.
Most importantly, my daughter enjoys going to school, loves her teachers and friends, and feels that she belongs there. As a parent, seeing her grow and become more independent over time has made us very grateful for the teachers and the community at Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool.
