Two stars because they talk good, as far as a calming tone in hopes you do not curse and or yell because one of their contractors did something wrong (using your ironing board as a holder for materials, destroying your broom and dust mop, leaving paint cans outside of your home when finished, not painting your home correctly, leaving painting on your floors, NOT paying the money back on time to your account as agreed in the contract more than once) meaning the contract was broken. They people you meet talk good as most sales people do and the work will eventually get done, rather it is correct is something else, rather you will get paid back on time is something else, rather they will pay the debt off in full is something else. I am disappointed and if I would have known I would have paid a different contractor. Maybe if I paid for the work out of pocket it would be different, maybe if I were famous and or Caucasian it would be different. This is NOT GOOD

I strongly advise anyone considering Unique Home Builders or Mr. Nir Heydar to stay away. My experience has been extremely disappointing and stressful. I hired them in 2024 to remodel my pool, but the project was left incomplete and poorly done — the work was defective, and it caused active water leaks into the pool equipment room. Despite repeated promises, the contractor failed to correct the problems or provide the required inspection documentation. I’ve had to spend months filing complaints with the California Contractors State License Board and the company’s insurance just to get the situation addressed. Their communication became evasive once problems appeared, and I was left with significant property damage and financial loss. If you value professionalism, accountability, and quality workmanship, look elsewhere. This experience has been one of the most frustrating and costly homeowner issues I’ve ever faced.
This remodeling company did an exceptional job on my bathroom remodel. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship are top-notch. The team was friendly and professional, making the entire process enjoyable. I’m thrilled with my new luxurious bathroom!
Dear Bethany, Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback! We're absolutely thrilled you're loving your new luxurious bathroom. Attention to detail and top-notch craftsmanship are what we pride ourselves on here at Unique Home Builders. It's great to hear the team made the bathroom remodeling process enjoyable for you. Thanks for trusting us with your Los Angeles home! Warmly, Unique Home Builders Team
Unfortunately we did not have the same great experience others seem to have had with Unique. We hired them to replace our driveway with pavers, and it has been a series of frustrating events. They did not follow any proper procedures. I told them in West Hollywood we needed to pull permits for this type of work. He argued and argued and finally said he would pull permits. It was a lie. They started work and we were immediately issued a stop work order as we had no permits on file with the city. unique builders then told me, the homeowner, that to speed things up I needed to take care of it. So I did… I filed the necessary permits and approvals to resume work which delayed us several weeks. They left a giant pile of gravel in the street blocking a traffic lane over night, with no cones or safety markings at all… I received another letter from the city for that. They did not use city approved vendors for debris removal/dumpsters, and they did not provide a toilet for the workers on a 3 week job. During demo they broke several storm drain lines, which they were just covering up with gravel until I noticed the giant holes and asked to repair those sections. Fast forward it has been less than a year and part of the driveway is already sinking and separating. I’ve been trying for 2 months to get them back to repair it and it has been a series of excuses and delays. I finally got their crew scheduled for today and they just called that the crew isn’t showing up after all. Come on guys, take some pride in your work.
