Victor always takes the time to sit with me and look over my business and personal taxes to ensure I’m filing everything properly. He listens and truly takes his time to make sure nothing is looked over.
5 stars I’ve been working with Mr James for past year and I couldn’t recommend him more highly. From the very first consultation, Mr James made the entire tax process feel straightforward and stress-free. He incredibly knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and always stay on top of the latest laws and opportunities for savings. What stands out most is how responsive and patient Mr James is—every question I’ve had has been answered thoroughly and in plain language. Filing has become something I no longer dread, and I’ve consistently been impressed by the care and professionalism that goes into every return. If you’re looking for a tax accountant who is trustworthy, sharp, and genuinely invested in helping clients do well, Mr James is the one. I’m grateful to have them in my corner and will continue recommending them without hesitation.
Great guy and knows what he is doing
Left confused and honestly a little upset. Based on reviews this looked like a good place to have my tax situation sorted out or assisted with. I had one appointment where I provided documents and we discussed services. I then didn't hear from Mr. James again for two plus months. I called repeatedly, I left multiple messages asking for a call back at least, I sent an email. I have all the calls on my phone. If i did get anyone on the phone it was a secretary whose first language isn't English making communication tough. She would just apologize and tell me this is how Mr. James is "bad at answering" and that i should keep hounding him. I eventually had enough and just came and retrieved my documents to go elsewhere. Ive never been ghosted by a business for two months. If you didn't want to, or couldn't help me I could have gone elsewhere all this time. Extremely frustrating.
Nick, I'm not sure what you are confused about. We met in person on March 6th, you asked my assistance in solving an issue of your own doing that was several years in the making. During that same meeting, I reviewed your documentation and determined that you were missing several items. I provided you with the best route to obtaining those items (Going directly to the source) and an alternative (Obtaining transcripts) if the first route failed. You asked how long things would take, and I stated "it depends on how long it takes you to obtain the documents, but keep in mind, that it's tax season, which is my busiest time, so scheduling could be a few weeks out when you set up the appointment. I went on to let you know that the problem didn't occur overnight, and it's not something that would be resolved overnight. Later, I spoke to you on the phone on March 13th, where we discussed where you were with obtaining the missing information and once again reiterated what to do if the first course of action failed. I explained that once you obtained the missing information to go ahead and schedule an appointment. Please keep in mind, a phone system is recorded, so I can provide you with transcripts if you wish. You did call after that. Each time you failed to leave a message with the Receptionist, and simply asked that I call you back, completely disregarding being told by both the Receptionist and myself, that this is my busiest time period, and I don't have time in my schedule to randomly call people. You call out the Receptionist's ethnicity in your review, but your issue had nothing to do with whether English was her native language. And despite this, you chose to continue to call versus sending an E-mail or message through the website. You were never ghosted. The phone records and cameras refutes that completely. During what is the busiest time for any accountant, I took time to sit down with you, provide you clear instructions, and followed up with you via the phone a week later. Your review lacks any accountability on your part. On two separate occassions you were provided clear instructions and alternatives. Those instructions were provided by me in plain English, completely refuting you trying to lay blame on the ethnicity of a member of my team. So to recap, you created a problem over several years, that you wanted me to solve in a short time period during my busiest time, which you were informed beforehand about, but failed to provided me the information to solve said problem, and then want to disavow any accountability and instead lay partial blame on the ethnicity of a staff member, who by your own recounting, had no impact on the situation at hand.
10/10 experience filing taxes. Would highly recommended to anyone I know. Great service, efficient, great information given. Will certainly be using again in the future for any and all accounting needs

Having had taxes done previously for the past 40 years, this was my initial experience with James Accounting. My annual tax return was completed in front of me, which I was not expecting. He went over each page of my return slowly, so I could understand each deduction, or why deductions weren’t applicable. I learned more about taxes in 1 hour than I assimilated in 40 years of picking up tax returns. I was frequently asked:”Do you have any questions?”. Seldom in life are my expectations exceeded, but this learning experience far superseded my expectations! AND he charged me 60% LESS than my prior CPA in Columbus! Thank you! I’ll be back!

Victor and his team always answer questions via email quickly and completely. My last accountant did some questionable things, but I'm confident that Victor does all that he can do for me within the constraints of the codes. I have a small business, so Victor prepares both my personal and business taxes. It's SO nice to know that I don't have to even think about who will do my taxes anymore.
