Google reviewers rate VCA Lake Jackson Animal Hospital 4.5 out of 5 based on 301 reviews, with the owner responding to 58% of comments. Positive feedback highlights friendly staff, clear communication, reasonable wait times, and compassionate care during difficult situations like euthanasia or chronic illness management. Some customers appreciate the clinic's willingness to explain options and accommodate financial constraints. Could not recommend this clinic enough. Had the unfortunate experience of putting my sweet baby down today. These people were understanding, helpful, and generous enough to lay out all my options with great care to my situation. They never made me feel rushed. They let me feel all my feelings and were so caring to my beloved dog and myself. Thank you Dr. Dewyer and her team. Something very hard was made easier and I’m incredibly grateful for that.
VCA has been caring for my furbaby, Finlay, for almost 11 years, and I truly couldn’t ask for a better team to be there for him. Everyone is so kind, compassionate, and caring.
I was especially stressed recently because my boy is getting older and dealing with hip and skin issues, but the front office staff took the time to talk with me about ways to keep him comfortable, in addition to his medication. His doctor knows him so well and is always wonderful with him and so gentle and caring.
I’m incredibly grateful for the entire team; the office staff, technicians, and doctors. They truly treat Finlay like he’s their own. ❤️
My mom takes her senior cat to this office and they treat her and her cat so well. They're aware of mom's fixed income and try to respect that in terms of necessary testing and care. They're willing to explain things to her and don't mind re-explaining if she gets overwhelmed or confused. Weve never had a long wait for appointments or med pickups. They even clipped the cat's nails for her when they noticed they were a little overgrown. I'd recommend.
Staff were very friendly and did a wonderful job with my dog

This is my stepmom's vet for hee dogs. Sadly I had to take her dog to be put down while they are on a trip. They were very friendly and sweet in such a hard time for me. Thank God for people like them. From the vet, to assistants, to receptionist.. Great!
I am not from town and I found an abandoned cat that I have decided to take in. Patches as I named her was pregnant and while I was home she had her kitten. She was not taking me to see them and refused to leave my side so I thought something was wrong. I made an appointment in the am and by 1:30 pm I was in with Patches. Fortunately she is ok but her kittens didn’t make it. The vet was excellent and the staff was hand down one of the best I have seen in a while. So happy to have gone there.

Thank you for your heart and for taking Patches in. We are so sorry for the loss of her kittens, but we are glad Patches is doing okay and that our team could be there for you both during such a sensitive time. It’s wonderful to know you felt so supported by our staff and veterinarians. We wish you and Patches the very best as you settle into your new life together!
They absolutely care. They are very tuned in to what the pet and owners need. Highly recommend
