When you tell me something just feels off, I listen, because your intuition is a vital part of his care. I love working for Visiting Angels. They offer full flexibility that I need in scheduling without compromising the ability to work the full time hours that I desire. I love their reward system they have in place that provides ability to earn gift cards for engaging in behaviors that, in my opinion, are simply associated with being employed (not calling off, showing up on time, etc.).

I was hired over a little over 3 years ago at a time in my life I needed a change. Visiting Angel's offered a great atmosphere for my transition. Staff and clients are great to work with. Very thankful that they gave me an opportunity.

I provided services to my aunt and I was very happy with the care she received from her angel. However, she worsened and required facility care. About 3 months after that happened, I received a check to reimburse me for my deposit. The check was " pay to the order" of my aunt. Visiting Angels was taking the payments directly from my checking account and knew my aunt was not paying and should have also known that she was dying and unable to cash any checks. The check should have been made out to me or directly deposited back to the account that it was taken from. I spoke with Stephanie on the phone. She treated me like I made the mistake. Said she would reissue the check only after she received the un-cashable one back. Never did she apologize for my inconvenience...or my postage. She said that to stop payment on the check and issue a correct one would mean a charge from the bank. And she wasn't willing to do that.
I would suggest that someone with common sense be placed in charge of issuing refund checks. The reason services stop is most often that the client no longer can benefit from them --- or go to the bank. And it makes sense that the refunded money go back to who gave the money.

Given that payments were made directly from your account, the situation should have been handled more smoothly, and I am very sorry that this caused additional stress during an already difficult time.
After seeing your review, I reached out to you directly so we could discuss your concerns and further resolve the issue. This matter has since been addressed, and we are actively making changes to our internal processes to help ensure this type of mix-up does not happen again in the future.
