I would not recommend Visiting Angels based on our experience. Unreliable is the nicest way to put it.
We hired them to provide 6 hours of daily care for Wednesday - Sunday for my dad while he recovers from surgery. He is non-weight-bearing on both feet and in a wheelchair, so having a reliable caregiver isn't just convenient—it's essential.
On Thursday, the caregiver arrived, rang the doorbell, then went back to her car and called out sick instead of coming inside to provide care, leaving my dad unable to get out of bed safely. My dad was never notified and made a call to Sarah, she assured us that there would be someone there on Saturday and Sunday but did not send a replacement or offer one. Saturday, no one showed up or called. Another call to Sarah was made to inform her that we will no longer be needing this sporadic service for Sunday. I don't believe that message was passed along because a caregiver did show up at 8am and was informed she wasn't needed. We received no call, no notice, no backup and no explanation.
When your family is depending on someone to care for a vulnerable loved one, reliability matters. Missing scheduled care without communication leaves families scrambling, puts unnecessary stress on those who are recovering and is an extreme safety concern.
I hope Visiting Angels improves its scheduling and communication because this experience was incredibly disappointing and unacceptable.

We had an incredible experience with Visiting Angels, and I can’t recommend them enough. From the very first interaction with the team who came out to evaluate my mom, to Robin in scheduling—everyone was professional, compassionate, and truly invested in making sure we had the right support.
And then Jennifer arrived—our caregiver—and she was everything and more than we could have hoped for. She was patient, kind, and so attentive to my mom during a time when it mattered most. Not only did she take amazing care of her, but she also lent a hand around the house in ways that made such a difference for me.
What stood out most was the joy she brought with her. The laughter she shared with my mom filled the house, and her smile truly lit up the room. She wasn’t just a caregiver—she felt like family.
Jennifer was truly an angel who visited us three days a week, and we are so incredibly grateful. Thank you to the entire Visiting Angels team for the care, support, and peace of mind you gave our family.

Visiting Angels, I can't say enough great things about this organization, their mission and their people are both excellent!!! I have been working with Robyn to find a good personality and energy match for my Mother to take her to appointments, take her to run errands, the grocery store and to exercise at the community center. Robyn has been very diligent in finding the perfect match, a HOME RUN TWICE!!! The two Angels she selected, Peggy and Barbara were exactly what Mom needed with a perfect personality match to have conversations with, gently motivate her, help her and every get her to laugh. Mom couldn't wait to tell me how much she enjoyed each of their company and how much she enjoyed who they are. It makes my heart sing to know Mom is enjoying the Angel's company and that our family has the extra resource to help us take care of our wonderful Mom. They are all truly Angels and we are so thankful to have their help.

When mom started needing more care as she got older, I researched several caregiver companies. Visiting Angels sent several different angels to care for mom one day a week. When Claudia came, we knew she was a great match for mom! She has been visiting Mom for over a year and has been a blessing for her but most importantly she gives my husband and me a chance to get away for errands or a date day. I highly recommend Visiting Angels and Claudia for treating mom like family!

Our visiting angels nurse was very kind, considerate, and wonderful to be around. She always went above and beyond the normal caretaker duties, and was very kind with other family members and our young great grandchildren.

I couldn't give them a zero so they get a 1.
We are faced significant issues with getting reimbursed for care due to incomplete or incorrect care notes provided by the franchise.
When I reached out to the franchisee to address this issue, I was informed that care notes are considered a courtesy rather than a requirement. I find this explanation troubling, as I believe care notes area standard operating procedure in home care to ensure both quality of service and proper documentation for reimbursement.
They took our caregivers notebook and will not give it back so we have no record of thier care.
It has now been over three months since we received our last reimbursement, and despite several attempts to resolve this matter, we have received no cooperation from the franchise.
Additionally, caregivers we often late or no show without any communication. Doctor's appointments were missed. They increased thier hourly rates with first notifing us. We found out about the increase via invoice.
As a result, we have been forced to terminate thier care.

Care notes are provided weekly to you and the insurance company, both physically and digitally. If there are any discrepancies, we’re committed to resolving them.

Speaking from both sides of the coin I was fortunate enough to experience this company &for about a year &a half they had been coming into our home to take care of my ex-husband until his final passing in February, we were blessed with a very caring & compassionate lady named Jodi Johnson who we became very good friends with as well & she was also was a wonderful sounding board during that time,I knew I needed to get get back into the workforce &put my newly launched business on hold&she suggested I apply for a job &so I did&I have to say that this company treats their clients & caregiver employees very well, I feel I am so blessed..
